Sorry Keith

I remember the days when I looked forward to rushing home after work to watch Olbermann's "Countdown", just so my wife and I could catch the latest political news from a center-left perspective, and his energy in calling out the GOP's destruction of this country.

Those days seem like a distant memory. Now, Keith seems to feel that his show's mission is to allocate his first segment almost every night into an attack on the Clinton campaign, and to paint the Obama effort in a favorable light. I used to have his show DVR'd but no longer. His show is now so predictable that one could safely say he will lead with a negative piece on Hillary eight out of every ten shows.

Hillary has made her bed and sunk her own campaign in this race, so I acknowledge there's little reason for many of you to care one bit about this. But our side complains about Fox's one-sided coverage all the time, yet many among us seemingly now condone what MSNBC has done this campaign cycle, simply because it helps Obama and hurts Hillary.

Matthews is a sexist and closeted racist whore, and Dan Abrams is simply trying to build an audience. But Olbermann was supposed to be the progressive media's gold standard, yet his show no longer focuses first on the latest GOP misdeeds. Instead he almost always leads with his latest negative statement on the Clinton campaign delivered by the host himself, as if he were an operative of the Obama campaign.

It's Keith's show, and if he wants it to be a Hillary bash session that's up to him. Again, Hillary and Bill are big kids playing in a big sandbox, accountable for their many and ongoing mistakes. But I've stopped watching Keith because I'd rather watch McCain and the media being held accountable, instead of watching an Obama rally or oppo research segment every night.
