Exclamation Marks in Search of Exclamations!
I admit it. I'm having a hard time getting too excited about the long lead to Pennsylvania. We all know what's at stake, we all know what both campaigns and their supporters claim is at stake, and we all know what the current arguments break down to:
a) Your candidate can't win!
b) If my candidate can't win, why are you so upset about my candidate not being able to win?
c) My candidate is more electable than yours!
d) You're an idiot if you think your candidate is more electable than mine! (Or: Your an idiot if you think you're candidate is more electable!!!)
d) A new poll says my candidate has the momentum!
e) Don't believe the new poll that says your candidate has the momentum!
f) My candidate said something brilliant!
g) Your candidate, or your candidate's surrogate, said something horrible!
h) My candidate did something brilliant!
i) f) Your candidate, or your candidate's surrogate, did something horrible!
k) No, you STFU!
This system of nominating and electing our presidents is absolutely absurd. Have I mentioned that before?
