The hubris shown in "Mission Accomplished" continues to bite. Amazing how the Bush warmongers try to minimize how much they screwed the pooch. Yet, they just never, ever own up to their mistakes.
Here's another example of how much the Bush administration can screw up:
Bush, in a speech earlier this month, said that "while this war is difficult, it is not endless."
Isn't it nice that he decided that now? Once upon a time he had no problems staying forever. And now nothing will let us leave without huge investments in time, blood and treasury. So nice that he got to play being war president on the lives of millions of people: the troops who will never come home, those who will never live a normal life again due to the injuries they sustained in Bush's war, the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis that have died since the invasion, and the millions that have been displaced during the war because in Bush's world, all you need to do to fix things is to invade a country with massive force and then wait for the people to bring you flowers in appreciation.
What an amazing accomplishment, right?
What's up for you on May 1, 2008?
