Last night I was part of a liberal discussion group and one of the very nice people I met there turned out to be a very active Obama supporter who when he spoke of Hillary Clinton, could not stop calling her a monster. By way of Avedon, I see that this pathological hatred for her has a long tradition. Somehow Obama supporters are going to have to get over their antipathy of Clinton as a strong (albeit humanly fallible) woman if they want to start building a coalition with Hillary supporters that can take on the Maverick and his strongest fan base.
