Of Course They Think That Way

I have to admit I am not too worked up over McCain senior advisor Charlie Black's candid admission to Fortune Magazine that a terror strike between now and the election would help his candidate. Black committed a sin only in revealing the truth and the GOP's mindset that terrorism is a political tool to be used against Democrats. I'm more amused that the mainstream media is making a big deal over something that Tom Ridge admitted years ago, namely that the Bush Administration used the fear of terrorism as a political instrument during the 2004 campaign.

Obama should get some mileage out of this, and continuously ask why the GOP spends more time and energy using terrorism for political purposes than they do in actually reducing the threat itself.
