At His Feet

Twenty-eight American troops were killed in Afghanistan last month, the highest total since 2001, and only one off the total killed in Iraq. This can all be laid at the feet of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, who:

-Let Osama Bin Laden escape at Tora Bora;
-Redirected the anti-terror campaign away from Afghanistan to a new war of choice in Iraq;
-Abandoned Afghanistan's reconstruction to pump billions into a black hole in Pakistan; and

Then encouraged the Musharraf government to sign truces in Waziristan that allowed the Taliban and Al Qaeda to regroup and kill our troops and destabilize Afghanistan.
