Not The Post's Finest Hour
by Steve Soto
Today's nominee for the most boneheaded analysis and set of assertions belongs to the Washington Post's Andres Martinez, who somehow got the job of writing a blog called "Stumped". Mr. Martinez gets to answer questions on politics with no formal background in the subject, and obviously no grasp of history for a guy with a degree in the subject. Today, he tries to tell us that the trajectory of the 9/11 attacks and the wars and failures in Iraq and Afghanistan would likely have been no different had the Supreme Court installed Al Gore as president in December 2000 instead of George W. Bush.
Yeah, he really does try and make that argument.
I guess any dimwit with editorial page experience and the New America Foundation on his resume can get a job at the Post.
