What Missile Launch?

The disclosure earlier this week by the Iranian government that they test fired multiple missiles could very well be a hoax. The NYT story on the test relies on another media account, which itself was taken from Iranian government sources. I'm not aware of any independent satellite confirmation of these launches. Now the Washington Post also points out that not only did the Iranians photoshop their official pictures of the alleged launches, but that the picture used was actually from 2006.

So how come no one is asking the real question: what evidence do we have aside from Iranian government sources that the test ever took place this week?

But at least the alleged test helped oil jump $5 a barrel today.
