Stealing It

Team Obama wants to help their chances this fall by undertaking a large African American voter registration drive. Bully for them, but they also need to know that the Bush White House and national GOP will do everything they can through their control of state election officials to immediately disenfranchise any newly-registered Democrats with the assistance of a law-breaking Justice Department.

So while Obama talks of unity and dismisses partisanship, he very well could be undermined by vote-purging tactics that run afoul of the Voting Rights Act, all under the nose and with the approval of a Bush DOJ that itself is a criminal enterprise, staffed with criminals where partisanship is the sole requirement, who need not worry about prosecution under President Obama's AG.

I am more and more convinced that no matter what the electoral math says two weeks before Election Day, the GOP will still steal this election.

Now, call me crazy (go ahead, it will make you feel better), but if I were the Obama folks, I would know every state with a large Hispanic and African American population that has a GOP Secretary of State, and begin making a big deal about voter disenfranchisement now. Start putting the GOP on the defensive in the media in those states, and shine a bright light on these activities. Make sure the public knows what the GOP is up to, and get the narrative out there that the GOP and McCain are trying to quietly steal this election by dumping newly-registered Democrats.

Or would that be too partisan for Obama's tastes?
