No Tin-Foil Applies Here

by Deacon Blues

Frankly, I don't care about accusations of tin-foil hattery here. It is more than a little suspicious that Mike Connell suddenly dies in a solo plane crash months after he and his wife were threatened by Karl Rove to take the fall for the GOP's 2004 election theft in Ohio. As Brad Friedman of BradBlog.com noted, Connell is the one GOP IT operative who was at the intersection of the Bush machine's election theft efforts in both the 2000 and 2004 elections, as well as any effort to discover what happened to the missing White House emails. He was about to be forced to testify under oath in federal court on his role in the Ohio effort, and now his plane just crashes. Amazing.

People who are a threat to the Bush machine are suddenly not around any more. Like this guy.

I'd like to think that an Obama Justice Department would look into these things, or build upon the work already done by John Conyers. But I have no faith whatsoever that Obama would care to do so, because it would piss off Republicans and go against Obama's desire for a "new kind of politics" that effectively will let the GOP get away with everything they've done these last eight years.

Update: Thanks to the tip from Judith in the comments section, read the post from investigative reporter Larisa Alexandrovna here about Connell and the circumstances of his crash, with a plane that had equipment to deal with ice.

And then remember what Paul Wellstone's plane crashed from, which was officially ascribed to ice and pilot error, although other reasons exist.
