Banks Give Taxpayers The Finger

by Deacon Blues

All those banks who got billion-dollar bailouts from the American taxpayers and their grandchildren this past fall under the wonderful TARP by Hank Paulson and GWB now either can't or won't tell anyone what they did with the money. To them, it's none of the taxpayers' business.

I'm sure our Democratic Congress and the incoming administration will do something about this. Perhaps if Barney Frank stops bloviating long enough, he and Henry Waxman might drag a few bankers to the Hill in January under oath, while the rest of us wait outside with baseball bats.

And yet Bush wants the autoworkers to bleed to death before their employers get any help.
