Several items for discussion tonight:
Obama sends another 17,000 troops to Afghanistan, even before he figures out what his strategy is, at a time when Pakistan has given over a significant part of their country to terrorists. Until we realize that the border area between the two countries needs to be walled off and sealed so that the two countries have a chance, all of this will be shortsighted.
The solar energy provisions in the stimulus bill could generate 110,000 jobs all by themselves over the next two years. That’s a better cost-benefit ratio than any Bush tax cut.
I’m shocked, just shocked, that Roland Burris lied to the Illinois legislature about his efforts to get former governor Rod Blagojevich to appoint him to Obama seat. Now Burris finds himself headed for a perjury probe.
Sarah Palin is not so popular anymore back home.
And you can laugh yourself to sleep tonight knowing that Dick Cheney was pissed that Bush never pardoned Scooter Libby.
