Glaciers are melting fast! Indeed, satellite data show that glaciers and ice sheets are melting at incredibly rapid rates. Some Greenland glaciers have been thinning at the rate of 1/2 meter (19 inches) per year and others are melting at rates running up to an eye-opening 1-1/2 meters (or almost 60 inches -- 5 ft!) per year. And in Antarctica, some glaciers are thinning by some 9 meters per year (or by almost 30 feet per year!) Anyone living in the fact-based world will find this new information very concerning and be wondering what comes next.

So, have you contacted your representatives recently to make sure they are taking this issue seriously enough?
