It Is - And Always Was - The Economy, Stupid

To follow up on Deacon's earlier post about Obama's enabling of his enemies, I give you this.

If 60% of those polled going into an election season think you've spent too little time on economic problems, then you and your party are screwed. Hell, those are George W. Bush-type numbers.

This is Exhibit A on why you always go large on your one chance at a stimulus package. The man's image and political capital would be totally different if he had spent 2009 fighting the GOP on the economy instead of trying to curry favor with them on something they never will help him on.
