Evidently because there were no accidents for decades, the problem didn't exist according to a senior administration official. Makes you wonder how good the regulation is for nuclear power plants. After all, catastrophic accidents haven't happened with any nuclear plants for decades either.

And just how much has the oil industry worried about catastrophic accidents? Not too much because they haven't even bothered to remove the same dead guy's phone number from their individual response plans. Not just collusion but the same grossly hubristic incompetence. Whowoodanode?
