Yawn, The "Protect My Change" Campaign Begins

Barack Obama launched his reelection campaign today, with a government shutdown looming. Obama supporters will tell us that we Democrats should all be energized by this announcement and ready to advocate for his reelection in another grass roots effort.

Yeah.

First off, the only thing that recommends Obama for reelection are his GOP opponents. It certainly isn't his record. Second, 2008's grass roots effort is a distant memory and will not be the roadmap this time. There's a whole number of other reasons why I am less than enthused at the "call to arms" today to protect what Obama has "accomplished."

Wake me after we see what else Obama gives away this year without a fight.
