Yes, Barack Obama is having fundraising troubles. The usual corporate and Wall Street checkwriters just aren't there this time, because they can smell political death.

These are the same guys the White House has been kneepadding for the last several years: no SEC enforcement and a dickless Eric Holder, a toothless Dodd-Frank bill, an Elizabeth Warren packed away to Massachusetts, and a Bill Daley and other hacks making the Oval Office safe for Tom Donahoe and the Chamber. Most of Wall Street, and especially these hedge fund types have had a sweat-free, high-profit existence since Obama arrived. But these guys only back perceived winners, and one thing they can do is count.
