This Is A Counter Attack?

by Deacon Blues

Parts of the Beltway media are claiming this afternoon that Mitt Romney has "fired back" at President Obama's outsourcing critiques of Romney's business record at Bain and as governor of Massachusetts. As proof of Romney's counter attack, we get this today:

"This president has been outsourcing a good deal of American jobs himself, by putting money into energy companies — solar and wind-energy companies that end up making their products outside the United States,” Romney said. "If there’s an outsourcer-in-chief, it’s the president of the United States, not the guy who’s running to replace him."

Really? After several weeks of getting pounded over his business record on outsourcing, the best Team Romney can do is claim that the Department of Energy's assistance programs to alternative energy firms is the same as Romney's hands-on actions at Bain with their acquired companies?

By the way Mitt, if you are so offended in seeing corporate welfare result in offshored jobs, then I gather you'll have no problem with requiring that "job creators" actually create jobs here in America in exchange for their tax breaks or corporate welfare.
