Obama Got a Bounce

If both the Gallup daily tracking poll (of registered voters with a small MOE) and the CNN/ORC poll out in the last hour (of likely voters) are to be believed, then yes, Barack Obama got a good bounce from the Democratic convention. The Gallup poll shows that Romney's numbers fell a little and Obama's came up during the convention to levels not seen since April. As for the CNN/ORC poll, it shows a 6-point swing in Obama's favor in the immediate aftermath of the Democratic convention, again, among likely voters.

It may alarm the Romney camp that Obama has now passed the 50% threshold in the post-convention polling, even after Friday's bad jobs report.
