Rand Paul's Wild Side

Rand Paul is inserting himself into the North Carolina Senate GOP primary in support of Tea Party/Libertarian favorite Greg Brannon against the GOP establishment candidate Thom Tillis. Unfortunately for Paul, his candidate is a loon.

Brannon believes there should be no federal, or even state educational standards. He also believes that government should not bar the mentally ill from owning weapons, leaving any decision to local law enforcement.

To top that off, Brannon supports eliminating the federal Departments of Education and Health and Human Services. He also wants the Federal Reserve and the IRS abolished.

This is the guy Rand Paul wants to replace Democrat Kay Hagan in the US Senate. Democrats should be salivating at any chance that Paul gets the GOP nomination.
