Jerry's Lack of Vision

by Deacon Blues

Israel long ago figured out that they needed to create more potable water, and over the last decade has built five water desalination plants. They've also embarked on an ambitious effort to recycle and reuse wastewaster for agriculture, getting 55% of their agricultural water through recycling and reuse.

The largest of their plants can generate potable water for 1.3 million residents. Just think of what California could do if we embarked upon a 10-plant water desalination infrastructure program over the next decade, along with an expansion of wastewater reuse and recycling for agriculture, funded in a partnership between the state and local districts through state-issued bond financing.

Instead, the Governor keeps pushing for his water tunnels.

Yeah, that should do the trick.
