That's the current state of our democracy.
The Founders believed that democracy requires a somewhat rationally informed electorate in order to function----that's why our doesn't anymore and why Nero was "re-elected" in 2004.
"Election" 2008 will be a complete crap shoot--I will predict only that no rational, sane discussion of the issues and problems facing the country will occur in any way.

Pay special attention to whose wing Riza-baby was put under at the State Department--Cheney's daughter Liz-zard. Liz-zard has quite an interesting resume, lncluding a stint in Richard Armitage's company, he of Plame-leak fame. ("I couldn't help it--I'm just a gossip".) Liz-zard was No. 2 official in the State Department's Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs where she worked to develop regime-change strategies for Middle Eastern countries, with special focus on Syria and Iran.
So, it's quite interesting that Wolfie, one of the main architects of this war, managed to place his girlfriend in such a nurturing, regime-change enviroment.
