Comments: Clearing the Decks

Revoke both Gonzales' and Rove's U.S. Passports.

Make certain they have to remain in Bush's Murika.

April may turn out to be the most interesting month this year.

Mary - we'd better look at the attorneys they retained. They're still in a position to proceed with Bu$hCo's agenda.

And doesn't this make it clear that every US Attorney appointed after the 2004 election must be reviewed whether they are part of the Rove conspiracy to steal elections and prosecute Democrats for being Democrats?

My thoughts exactly, Mary. The only way we'll ever know for sure that appointees are nonpartisan and qualified is if this happens immediately. And I'd add that some sort of rules might be put in place so people who are actually qualified are hired in the first place. You know, some kind of standards, like having experience in the field or something? One would think those rules would already be there, but apparently not.

Great post, thanks.

See a pithy tongue-in-cheek visual that skewers Karl Rove and the Bush administration's disregard for accountability...here:

with all of the troops we are pouring into Baghdad to round up and pressure the Shiite Al-Sadr Mahdi Army, why are we not doing a damn thing to stop Al Qaeda from slaughtering Shiites at their holy places outside of town?

It's not about Al Qaeda, that's why. It's not about Sunni, Shia, Kurds, WMDs...none of that stuff. It's about oil.

The Iraqi parliament is under orders to get the oil laws passed by June. If they don't, we will replace them with a white government (Hey! Wolfowitz will be available) to cram an oil law down the throats of the Iraqis. We MUST have that law. That will make legal the death and destruction that it requires to get and keep the oil. That's what it's about. That's all it's about. It's only so we can say "F-22 Raptors struck from Saudi Arabi today in support of Iraqi oil laws." That's all.

Remember, kids, it's not the crime, it's the cover-up (sadly; it should be both, but that's a bit much for the old boys' network...). The missing emails are starting to smell Watergatish, and Karl might be in some trouble they can't bargain him out of.

On one of the lists of 4-5 of the 8 fired USAs, I happened to notice that all of those named were in states with 2 Dem Senators. Coincidence? Probably not.

"what was he working on for a year?"

that's a good question.

how about seeing that the necessary authorities were surreptitiously placed in the patriot act -

and the act passed at the last moment.
