Whoa....expect "her husband" Nero Jr to come out swingin' after this affront to his lil' gal.
Nero: "Goddam Surrenderin' Defeatocrats!! They'll regret this!
Sur-pen...Supee-on...sub-penning....Goddammit!!
FORCIN' Condi to answer their infernal lib'rul questions!
Not on mah watch, eh, KKKarl? We'll show 'em whose boss, that's for shure..
Condi!!! Where's mah BEER!!"
And whatever will Uncle Dick say?
Posted by euzoius at April 25, 2007 12:32 PMI think I agree with digby that Gonzo's staying to take the heat off of Rove; that's why Bush is not asking him to resign. Everyone thinks it's loyalty to Abu G, but it's loyalty to Rove, who was smart enough to have a camera in the basement of the WhiteHouse where JeffyLube and Bushboy went at it like Caligula at a birthday party.
'Course things may change now that there might be an Abramoff connection to the attorney purges.
Posted by iamcoyote at April 25, 2007 12:47 PMWell, Condosleaza can always go back to her old gig as Provost at Stanford.
She seems capable of making sure there are adequate folding chairs for Commencement ceremony.
If Stanford doesn't want her, she can sell shoes for Ferragamo. That 30% employee discount would appeal to her.

Posted by CA Pol Junkie at April 25, 2007 01:34 PMAnd in the middle of all this, the EU legislature demands the resignation of Wolfowitz.
Posted by Judith at April 25, 2007 02:01 PMI strongly recommend this to anyone who is a patriot. Republi-cons need not apply.
Posted by phidipides at April 25, 2007 02:15 PMThanks for the link, p-dip. Great article.
Posted by iamcoyote at April 25, 2007 02:17 PMphidipides,
Isn't it a great piece?
I posted it on my blog first thing this morning. Wolf's 10 points are spot-on.
Posted by Christopher at April 25, 2007 02:18 PMIF Condi testifies she'll refuse to be under oath. And her memory will be no better than Gonzo's.
Posted by T2 at April 25, 2007 02:26 PMThe last great piece, I promise:
UN: Baghdad Security Operation Has Failed
Posted by phidipides at April 25, 2007 02:28 PMDon't forget "Buying the War" with Bill Moyers tonight on PBS.
Posted by Judith at April 25, 2007 02:56 PM"IF Condi testifies she'll refuse to be under oath. And her memory will be no better than Gonzo's."
T2, I think the days of this Administration dictating anything are a fading memory. I agree, she will remember nothing, but she will have to remember nothing under oath.
Posted by Judith at April 25, 2007 03:00 PMCondi might also get a letter telling her to "remember", like Gonzo did.
Posted by Judith at April 25, 2007 03:02 PMWhat I think they can no longer cover eachother's behind due to all the problems that are popping up for all of them right now, and now they have to protect THEIR OWN to keep their head above water, hence all the convictions, subpoenas and resignations, it's going to be fun to watch.
Posted by chompiz at April 25, 2007 04:56 PMselling shoes for Ferrigamo? Does Ferrigamo have a new line of downhill skis?
I'm sick of this admin. I don't think anyone should be allowed to be president, or any member of the inner cabinet who has personal stakes with big businesses. This admin is so conflicted in the interest of the big bucks vs we the people, the entire staff should be fired for lining their own pockets. Oil, cars, insurance, banks, wall street, etc.
Condi isn't going to tell the truth because she doesn't know what that is. She's a boot licker. And, no, I don't think Stanford would take her back. She can give piano lessons out of her home.
