Comments: Senators Subpoena Gonzales for Rove eMail

Further demonstration of the widsom of not trusting nor cooperating with the bushies.

On anything. Until they start coughing up the documents, there should be no compromises with Bush on any subject, including Iraq money.

the suggestion that there would be any reason for cooperation is lost upon me. why would anyone want to work with the mob, when you know the next victim is going to be you?
cooperate with the criminal enterprise that is the exu? that would be treason I believe. aiding and abetting in this matter is a formidable legal complaint for so many potential charges.
as reasonable people we must try to remember that the people we are opposed to in this matter are far from reasonable. they are protecting themselves from jail, and as we have seen, will use the government for any task to protect themselves. we must learn to think of them as both fascists and vermin if we want to survive as a species. I think this is where people that favor human rights fail in their assessments of this administration. they are not willing to accept that viewpoint as reasonable, and hence do not think anyone else can.

certainly they won't cooperate. They will obsfucate and obstruct any and everything. They have almost two years to permanently destroy government as we know it and they will not waste any time chatting about how they can help investigate themselves.

Yeah, right, the Cheney-Rove-Bush junta will cooperate. They'll be ice skating in hell before that happens.

Posted by dalloway at May 2, 2007 02:30 PM

Cheney, Rove and Bush are simply misunderstood. Much like the South African leaders of the 60's and 70's. Or perhaps Pol Pot, or Idi Amin, and their golfing buddies.

"Cooperate" your kidding. Right?

Posted by Judith at May 2, 2007 03:58 PM

Bush believes in the unitary executive theory. Under that theory, cooperation is a one way street. This behaivor has been going on for over six years. There is no reason to believe that it will change.

I didn't see any pigs flying today.

Posted by Judith at May 2, 2007 06:35 PM

Curious, Judith, I've seen two pigs flying, but I've been on Ativan for a couple of days. (Kidding)

Posted by tempus at May 2, 2007 07:25 PM

Can we say it? It's time to fuck Karl Rove like he's never been fucked. Why is there any hesitation?

Posted by Sharkbabe at May 2, 2007 07:59 PM

This is a good opportunity for the White House to show some cooperation with their co-equal branch of the government.

Congress is neither equal nor co-equal with the executive branch of the US government. This is a democracy where the people, represented by the Congress, predominate. The US Constitution includes many powers of the Congress, but only one for the president--commander of the military. So Congress rules policy, according to our democratic form of government, even though they generally don't live up to their responsibility. As I recall the word "spineless" has been used, among others. But probably not about Senator Leahy.

Spread the word--Congress rules.

Sharkbabe, there is absolutely nothing on this Earth that would want me to fuck Karl Rove. Nothing! And I'm a Rolling Stones fan!

Sorry, my name got lost.

Posted by tempus at May 2, 2007 08:48 PM

Your tempus fugited?

Posted by Don Bacon at May 2, 2007 08:56 PM

No, tempus fucked up, Don, but yes, that is my nome de plume.

Posted by tempus at May 2, 2007 09:01 PM

Don we do not have a democratic form of government. The makeup of the Senate even prevents us from having a representative republic. The Senate controls the government but is not representative of the people because of unfair representation.

"Curious, Judith, I've seen two pigs flying, but I've been on Ativan for a couple of days. (Kidding)"

Tempus, well peyote juice, maybe.

Posted by Judith at May 3, 2007 12:05 PM

Why are we trusting the DOJ to produce anything other than another pack of lies? Leahy needs to send computer forensic specialists in there himself.

Posted by Via at May 3, 2007 03:12 PM

Judith, peyote juice, although very expensive, is an excellent weight reducer. I now weight 47 pounds, dripping wet...
