Agreed. Far too many people have accused the Democrats as being the party that yearns for America's destruction. That rhetoric needs to be countered, and ferociously. The Republican Party, as currently configured, is intent on the destruction of America, and so it needs to be destroyed.

All these hearings are great, but regular people are having a hard time understanding what the real scandal is, and the talking heads are invested in muddying the waters. If anything's the least bit confusing, some folks will ignore it altogether. I think that's one reason why Whitewater didn't catch on, except with the wackos pushing it. No one could figure out WTF it was all about.

Steve, while I agree with much of what you are saying, there's something missing, something that's been bothering me ever since GW's coup d'État (and, yes, that is exactly what it was, too) back in 2000 - this is the USofA, not some third world bannana republic. If the D's purge all of GW's cronies and spend the next 8 destroyng the R's, then when the R's regain power then we go through all this crap again & again. Or do you propose to nationalize all the news media? The corporates would never permit it, so I guess you have to nationalize them as well. And so it goes... I was born in 1956, please tell me the country I was raised in still exists, it looks to me like it's stone could dead and we're living in some sort of corporate authoritarian state.
