Even if it turns out they are innocent. Or children.
Hey, we loves us some children.
That's why the United States has 2400 kids doing life in prison without parole, has 84 kids on death row, and executed 19 who offended as children since 1990. Since 1990, of the countries who kill children -China, Congo (Democratic Republic), Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and the USA- the USA and Iran each executed more child offenders than the other seven countries combined. U...S...A! U...S...A! U...S...A!
And we have some common ground with Iran with which Condi can break the chill of our relationship. Maybe she can take some blonde haired blue-eyed American kids to Iran and let Iranians stone the kids to death while she sips some sweet tea and eats cakes with Manouchehr Mottaki? You know, kind of an ice breaker?! Just an idea.
Sing the chorus with me!
Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white,
All are precious in His sight,
Jesus loves the little children of the world.
"Jesus loves the little children of the world."
Catholic Priests like 'em too.
Thanks, Sharon, for that great article.

They have been forced to do things so beyond the pale they they will never get past it. What has happened is a tragedy for the Iraqis, of course, but also a tragedy for us all. Unless Bush prevails and is able to rewrite history, we will become pariahs for generations to come. When Jesus said suffer the little children, Bush was, as usual, unclear on the concept. I wonder how the 28%ers will justify and rationlize this if it ever gets into the MSM.
