I don't know who I dislike more, Annthrax Coulter or Tweety. It's probably a tie.
But, there's something wrong at a mental level for psychobitch Annthrax Coulter to say things like this:
1. "If I’m gonna say anything about John Edwards in the future, I’ll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot.”
2. Writing in a column claiming that John Edwards drives around with a bumper sticker saying "Ask me about my son’s death in a horrific car accident."
She's nuts. Crazy. A kook. But that's the same as saying Phoenix is hot in July. Everyone knows it's true.
But Tweety booking her on his program to whore for ratings is a comment on his lack of judgment and character. Water always finds its own level.
Elizabeth is a class act, Coulter is not.
Posted by Judith at June 27, 2007 03:54 AMNo one can spew hatred and thoughts so vile and live a happy life. What Coulter says about others is more of an insight into who Coulter is. I predict all that negativity will shorten her life considerably and deservedly. I have never like Matthews and am not surprised he would whore himself by having her on his show.
Mary, I agree. I wish she was running for president.
Posted by Judith at June 27, 2007 04:17 AMI saw this clip and couldn't believe that anyone other than Hannity gives Coulter a forum. It's absurd. Seeing her also makes me wonder about her life--does this woman have a mother? What was her childhood like? Do we know anything about her?
I love Elizabeth Edwards--not crazy about John for some reason. As Judith said, she's a class act.
Posted by CG at June 27, 2007 05:27 AMWhat a true contrast in style. Mrs. Edwards has it all. Coulter has none.
Posted by jcricket at June 27, 2007 06:26 AMi saw this / Ann seemed at first to be rather taken aback and then actually a bit embarrassed, esp when the college age audience gave Elizabeth a rousing round of applause.
Ann's retaliation was malicious republican talking points about Edwards winning cases and making millions while he shuts down doctors from being able to do their jobs. Incredible. She confirmed the point Elizabeth was making re hate filled attacks.
Matthews is abominable and shamelsss / see the Daily Howler for Bob Somersby's take on this nasty hack.

Posted by Katherine Hunter at June 27, 2007 06:45 AMCoulter drives around with a bumper sticker that says "Ask me how I beat testicular cancer."
Posted by phidipides at June 27, 2007 07:00 AMHaving Colter on was something Baby Jesus would do. As was the gotcha Elizabeth call-in trap. Has Matthews finally morphed into Tweety Hannity?
"She's nuts. Crazy. A kook. But that's the same as saying Phoenix is hot in July. Everyone knows it's true." (Christopher)
It was only 112 with 7% humidity yesterday. Very nice. Pool was 85. It ain't hot till the planes stop taking off from Sky Harbor like July 26, 1990. (122 degrees)
With global warming, how come it's been 17 years since that all time hot day here in Phoenix?
Posted by TIKI AL at June 27, 2007 07:03 AMI'm in Upstate New York.
Yesterday it was 95' degrees with humidity. Few houses have a/c's because it usually isn't so hot. Yesterday felt like Texas.
Posted by Christopher at June 27, 2007 07:18 AMIt's not the heat, it's the humidity.
And Coulter was PWN3D yesterday. Beautiful.
Now if she'd only jam a 12 gauge in her gullet and finish off her misery. THAT would make some fine viewin'.
Posted by God Of War at June 27, 2007 07:53 AMYea Chris, like Houston: sticky and ickey.
I can't handle the humidity.
Well, have to see if my sidewalk eggs ala-Gore are done yet.
Posted by TIKI AL at June 27, 2007 07:57 AMThe existence of Ann Coulter is, by itself, sufficent evidence to show that there is a concerted effort by corporate media elites to drive the discussion far to the right.
In any sane media world she would never receive any coverage except on a venue like Comedy Central. She's the Richard Pryor for right wing racists -- only Richard was more likely to get his facts right.
Posted by Just one more little mint at June 27, 2007 07:59 AMI like John, but I'm sick of his bigotry on gay marriage. The "He's a product of 1950s southern culture" crap doesn't cut it. I wonder how much of it is sincere, and how much of it about John trying to deflect the pretty boy comments by saying that he finds gays icky. Whatever the case, it's a big turn-off. Get over it, John-boy.
Posted by chrisc at June 27, 2007 08:01 AMAnnthrax Coulter must have a book coming and the ethically bankrupt mainstream media is more than happy to give her facetime.
By now, just about everyone in the United States with a pulse knows she's a plagiarist, a homophobe, a sexist, a racist, she threatens judges and she committed voter fraud.
Other than that, she's the perfect postergirl for the GOP.
Posted by Christopher at June 27, 2007 08:11 AMAnd you forget to mention, she's a guy, a waifish counterpart to porcine Hermann Goering strutting around his stolen barony full of stolen art in a kimono.
Freakish times give us freakish types.
But hey, Gordon Brown ascends today and that classic dour Scotsman is already signalling a wind down of Iraq involvement as the Brits are sick of it all, in greater danger due to small garrison size and Basra could blow up on them any time.
It should be fun to watch Junior try to get on with a descendant of Edmund Burke's great Edinburgh tradition of rigorous intellect and no nonsense. No lapdog he, and Labour's numbers shot up reflecting a great collective sigh of relief.
W's world just shrank further and Putin Goes to Maine should entertain. I am quite familiar with Walker Point and can imagine Poppy knocking back his beloved cans of Narraganset or Black Label with Vlad while the firstborn does his idiot routine.
It suggests the old gaurd will be around minding Junior to make sure he doesn't make a hash of it and I doubt turdblossom of Deadeye will be there.
In the kremlinology of the Bushco watch it may be another sign that Junior is getting reined in.
Heat in Bedford MA 96 and really humid. I blew off lawnmowing and the walk for cigs and a few jugs of plonk was interesting. Aah but the basement is a mild 62 and Oliver Nelson pumps out of the boom box.
Posted by Chris Rich at June 27, 2007 08:35 AMMatthews contended (D)Anne was on because she "sells boooks".
Hey, she shills for a joke, but can she take one. The photo is frightening.
Posted by Seven of Six at June 27, 2007 08:49 AMThe photo is frightening.
ROFLMAO! See what happens when (s)he doesn't get around to shaving?
I've been playing my tiniest violin for those poor souls in upstate NY.
Posted by JohnT at June 27, 2007 09:44 AMPhidipides, ROFLMAO
Saw the clip this morning and could not believe that she was allowed to show such disrespect towards Elizabeth. The part about Elizabeth advocating silencing her right to free speech was so galling I wanted to smacked her, or worse. I wish nothing good for this vile snake. Having Coulter on is like having Paris Hilton on. No substance, but alot of publicity.
What can I say about weather here. Hot, sticky, and mean.
Posted by Judith at June 27, 2007 10:30 AMShe's just another cog in the right's machine. The remedy isn't to let her crap go unanswered. Not rebutted, but answered. You can't rebutt the baloney she craps out; you have to push back, paint her as a villain and link her to the GOP.
Posted by johnny6644 at June 27, 2007 10:42 AMDear Ms. Ann wears boxer shorts, but we really won't go there!
Posted by tempus at June 27, 2007 01:46 PMShe's a bully and the most effective way to deal with a bully is to call them out. Elizabeth Edwards could not have been more effective on this one.
Posted by ann at June 27, 2007 02:08 PMTempus--
NOBODY wants to go there...
Posted by gtash at June 27, 2007 05:42 PMI have been pointing this out to others, and I think it is significant:
Mrs. Edwards said, "Where I'm from...we ask politely.."
That is Southern-speak. It's code. It comes from Steel Magnolias. I don't think this is over by a long shot.
I wrote Mrs. Edwards on her blogsite conveying the same suspicion.
Posted by gtash at June 27, 2007 05:45 PMNo, not the movie....the southern creatures.
