I've been doing a lot of family stuff the last week plus two weekends, so I may have missed this on the Libby case and GWB's conveniently timed crowning of himself as King over the role once held by The Law.
All the Libby apologists and right wing flying monkeys are in Clinton! Clinton! Clinton! mode, carping about his pardons and his perjury.
But (a) Clinton was never convicted, as was Libby and (b) on the issue of pardons, so fucking what? He never granted one to obstruct justice and prevent enquiry into his and/or admin's crimes.
I admittedly haven't followed the coverage on this too closely (weddings, parties, reunions, house guests) but what I have seen disappoints me in that "our" side is being roped into defending Clinton rather than saying
=that Clinton's not President
=this whole admin ran and has been eating lunch on claiming they're nothing like him
=Libby was convicted in a court of law and by a non-partisan process and prosecuted primarily by Republican officials.
In closing and in short, WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK????
Posted by Ellie at July 7, 2007 08:40 PMI wish, that my Republican brothers and sisters cared about what others think of us
They do care what others think of us, and what others think of us must equate with fear. If others don't fear us how can they respect us? And if others don't respect us how can they be free?
A damn simple calculus for damn simple minds.

We need a designated child to expose the naked bush at his next press con job.
No one in the elite press corps seems to want to.

That is quite obvious !

i love 'Harpers' magazine..so,that's why i can afford it...
we really need to put 'that felon Bush' behind bars with the whole administration-they are public servants and we are, afterall, the pubic!
