Just think how much nuclear,wind,and solar we could build for 12 billion a month. I remember when Dingbat Dingell tried to kill the nuclear industry. Remember he is owned by the auto industry.

I agree with Michael Moore. I don't ever again want to hear from some politician how we don't have the money for social programs.

It will be a huge mistake to pass climate change legislation that the scientists say is not strong enough to solve the crisis.

Pass the bill that's neeeded over Repub intransigence and have Nero veto it. The election of 2008 will then decide the fate of the planet, one way or the other.

"Half-way" legislation was perhaps conceivable in, say, 2000 or 2001. But a decade of complete denial and inaction on global warming means we have one chance, and one chance only, to save the climate. If Repubs are allowed to water down some climate change bill now, they'll be able to stop anything in the future by saying "we just passed something, let it work!"
