What is the Bush Administration hiding?
What isn't the Bush Administration hiding?
Posted by Simp at July 11, 2007 11:55 AMI particularly liked the part about the oath she had to give to the constipateror. sounds like there is a little behind the scene god thing going on. wonder who plays god?
Posted by oldtree at July 11, 2007 11:57 AMNot one person in this Country is going to tell GWB what to do, and now it is extended to his worshiping dolts. Period.
Posted by Judith at July 11, 2007 12:14 PMin this particular case, I believe they are hiding the attempt to enact a plan which would stack the courts of the United States, and those US Attys who bring the cases to said courts, with men and women who have sworn allegiance to support the beliefs and pursuits of a single political entity at the expense of all others. In short, politicize courts that should be applying equal justice for all into courts that consistenly rule in favor of a particular ruling entity. You know, like the US Supreme Court. That, I believe, is violation of the US Constitution.
Posted by T2 at July 11, 2007 12:54 PMIt's not tough to figure out what the Bush administration is hiding. Everything. And they do it in plain sight.
Posted by 714Day at July 11, 2007 12:59 PMAnother good little godbot that can't find the real moral courage to do the right thing for her country.
Posted by TIKI AL at July 11, 2007 01:17 PMnow Miers has informed Congress that she will, on Bush's order, not even show up to honor her subpeona tomorrow. And this is the woman that Bush said was the best qualified person in the United States to serve on the Supreme Court. Think about that...a person who knowingly refuses a congressional subpoena on the Supreme Court. It would be like a direct brain wave from Karl Rove to the Bench. Thank god she was refused.

Posted by Seven of Six at July 11, 2007 01:36 PMIf Taylor never discussed the firings with Bush and he was in no way involved, how can he claim executive priviledge?
Posted by ann at July 11, 2007 01:38 PMWhat a cute couple. kiss kiss
Posted by Judith at July 11, 2007 01:52 PMBush looks like the Devil. Pure evil.
Posted by Christopher at July 11, 2007 01:52 PMChristopher, he looks evil because he is evil, and I am not saying that in jest. I sincerely mean it.
Posted by Judith at July 11, 2007 01:54 PMIf I have a chance tonight, I am going to dig out my old Watergate newspapers and do some reading. Should be interesting.
Posted by Judith at July 11, 2007 01:56 PMDon't forget, Bush has until Friday of next week to justify Executive Privilage.
Posted by Judith at July 11, 2007 01:57 PMChristopher, he looks evil because he is evil, and I am not saying that in jest. I sincerely mean it.
Me too, Judith. I wasn't jesting either. This may be the scariest picture of Bush I have ever seen and I don't scare easily.
Posted by Christopher at July 11, 2007 02:09 PMI love your commentary saying
based on an assertion by AGAG....made me LOL....as we saw and learned in the Angler expose from WaPo, Fredo, as he is called by his cohorts in the WH, is a dumb as they come, and he's just ChenAddington's sock puppet....how quaint!
I can't believe the Dems aren't being this lame on purpose. Their new "carrot" for their base is that if we don't carry their shit (thanklessly) again for '08, the right will further stack the SCOTUS.
So fucking what? Like these jokers dare propose anyone more liberal than Roberts / Scalito for fear of offending the right wing flying monkey attacks?
The same hapless, spineless Dems have had every opportunity to play hardball with witnesses and nominees and have folded to the same bullshit admin moves over and over and over.
Stonewalling, "lost" documents, giggling fuck you's for nearly eight friggin years and the Dems just gum out their excuses that the real fight is around the corner. Even as minority members on the floor and on these committees Dems had procedural weapons and the ability to demand compliance and to take action.
Even with subpoena power they've done sweet fuck all. cf, nine refusals to turn over docs, NINE, before Leahy & Co began DISCUSSING issuing a subpoena. Why did it take NINE WHITE HOUSE FUCK YOU's before Dems even began contemplating action? Oh come on, if that isn't a dive than I don't know futbol.
I stopped posting on blogs and commenting last year because I didn't want to snipe at Dems during an election period. Before that, I didn't buy their "Dry Powder" excuses for being such fucking wimps and never fighting the fight at hand but promising to do it later, but I wanted to be fair. I also wanted to see how they'd do with more seats and some real powers at hand.
Well, they either suck so much they don't deserve to lead or they're intentionally punting and don't deserve to lead.
I keep drifting out and tuning back in and it's the same shitty movie playing that I've seen too many times.
There's hope in a growing progressive movement at the community level but these weezers and geezers and Repub enablers need to go, even if it takes letting them collect their political capitol from their RW "support" and see how far it gets them.
They're not doing it on my sweat and on my dime anymore.

Posted by TIKI AL at July 11, 2007 03:01 PMDon't forget Shooter makes all the calls. It's quite incredible how everything they have done during this administration has been on the razor's edge of ILLEGAL! The courts don't even know how to deal with this stuff because before they feed us another snow-job, their lawyers are scouring ways to justify their blatent disregard towards the justice system.
If approval ratings dropped to 10% (probably not much lower than they really are) they would blow it off. The American public would try and remind them who they work for but it's too late - they have already been bought and paid for by Amerika Inc.
If only we could make them sit out the rest of this term... "HEY, YOU THERE, LIL' BUSHIE! - GRAB SOME F'N BENCH - and take shooter and kkkarl with you!!!"
