Rush is beyond belief, but he still has his legion of dittoheads that believe him. He's got his schtich and he's schtiching with it. His unreasonable phony optimism for America is part of his appeal to these lamebrains. He says, basically, "When everybody finally accepts me as their personal savior, as you have, dear listener, the USA will be even greater than it always was." He never debates a real person cuz he's always busy debating a strawman.
As world civilization enters a crisis phase, both environmentally and in energy sources, and as the world economy is on the verge of a tremendous shake-up based on BushAmeric's utterly unsustainable debt, consumption and foreign capitol needs, 58% of the BushAmerica Rubes think they want fewer "services" and lower taxes. Oy.
This just about says it all, and is the handiwork of decades of maniplative "conservative" shit fed out 24/7 by corporate cable "news" teams and conservative talk radio shit pollution.
The people can no longer think, and it's too late to "re-educate" them as the multiple tsunamis that will simply obliterate this revolting society silently come ever closer.
Save yourselves, and don't expect that any aspect of our federal government will do a thing, except fund and deploy more glorious troops for more theatrical wars against pygmy nations. And even that will be a stretch for us.

Whiteman here tends to be a miserably simplistic creature and Denninger at Market Ticker is like an uber Muckdog. The guy is a brilliant market analyst but a geopolitical imbecile and can be easily pressured to flee his stupid opinions that bombing Iran would somehow be good for the economy.
You see, the real forces that inflicted a quasi autistic scumbag on us were not the godbot base, not the meatheads, but anxious calculating amoral greed monkeys who bought damaged goods because they think Democrats are bad for the economy despite evidence to the contrary.
I did my analysis yesterday in my little world but that is beside the point. Whiteman is a damaged fear ridden mess who actually believes in myths like 'control'.
I'm here to say that the only thing anyone can really 'control' is themselves and who does that well?
But these hapless boobs worship at an altar of fear and control and the shriller side of feminism hasn't helped. Both genders easily drift into a cartoon caricature of actual humanity.
And humanity is the heart and soul of things, a vaginal or penile coincidence is a canard.
I daily engage anxious Whiteman at my job and did it for years in Seattle. They look up to me however our politics may differ.
Some part of them does want to do the right thing which is refreshing when you consider how many women despise aristotles ethics and view the social contract as some thing men dreamed up to complicate their overweening sense of entitlement.
I am personally inclined to favor women and lord knows this site expresses their best from Coyote to Mary to Judith and even shrill Jill, the spartacist. Goddamn I wish you were the status quo but you aren't.
And therein lies the problem. The men have to contend with demanding, shrill, unethical contentious bitches while trying to be appealing cartoons to get laid and it leads them down horrific paths like rooting for W so they can amass enough shiny stuff to entice the ladies.
There's the rub. I am convinced the demands of idiot women are the main force of planetary destruction.
What you say? Allow an example. I used to hike all over the White Mountains and noticed that a big consumer hell pit is in North Conway. It is full of outlet stores pandering to idiot women. This is true all over America.
Why you may ask? Because the guy wants to embrace the living world and go for a hike while the missus wants to go fucking shopping.
So retailers turned this mountain village into a parakeet toy for idiot women who despise the inconvenience of peeing in the woods and the hubbys park them there so shopping can happen while the men get some peace in the majestic living world.
It is a given that 70% 0f our economy is derived on consumer whim and it is equally well known to marketing parasites that the missus makes the lionesses share of purchasing decisions in most households.
You wanna get whiteman to stop sucking? Well you have to find a way to get the broad he's trying to lay to stop sucking.
I don't want to come off like psycho scout but this is a fact of Ammurikkkan life. Guys derive their masculinity now from getting laid instead of being stewards and caretakers of things as Ms Faludi suggested is their real empowering role. They are lost.
And I am so grateful that the above mentioned women as well as Jane Hamsher, Digby, Empty Wheel and so many other thoughtful female geniuses exist but the idiot bitches do need to be reined in.
The Digby's. Jane's and Coyote's of the world keep me from slitting my wrists and I owe them.
