Comments: Bush and Iraq: true believers starting to jump ship?

Well, bravo for this person. He was able to flush the appalling toxins of Bushism and start thinking for himself. Well done, this shows it's possible.

How frequently this is actually happening is up for debate, however. I'd say not very bloody often. And these disappointed conservatives will still think they'll need to vote for the next Repub in 08 order to "restore" the situation. The message will be "Let Repubs clean up their mess!"

Euzolus, I think there are lots of these, maybe less of the hard core religious right like this person, but lots of non-radical republicans. These people smell a rat. I recently ran into a hard-core OG Bush supporter who made a face like she'd just stepped into a bucket of shit when she mentioned his name. I've had a friend killed in Iraq, and by now lots of other Americans have also. It tends to wipe the smirk off the "W. The President" bumper sticker people when their grandson comes home in a box.

WorldNetDaily?!!!!! I looked at that a few times a few years ago, and just shook my head. It was filled with the most astonishing rubbish. Like, Saddam's WMD's were all in Syria where he had sent them for safe keeping (yeah, right! He sent is WMD's not only out of his control, but into the hands of his enemy Asad!). Another version had the WMD's in Lebanon, buried in the Bak`a valley (yeah right! He transported them across Syria, and had them buried a couple of countries away in the land of MORE people who are not fond of him!)

Whew, now this must be the connection we've been looking for...here's dumbo's evidence that Saddam and Osama played canasta together. Forget the non-believers, they are unwashed anyway!!

Goyo, saw that on CNN. Here's my favorite part:

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The U.S. military on Wednesday announced the arrest of a senior leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, an insurgent who, the military said, is casting himself as a "conduit" between the top leaders of al Qaeda and al Qaeda in Iraq.

Another crazy wannabe. Like those boys in Florida who wanted money for "terrorist uniforms." Either that or they tortured him enough that he'd say anything.

You know Ann, even if some of the dupes are questioning the war...the fact that 50-60% of Americans still think the Al Qaeda-Saddam link to 9/11 exists, tells me that Bushco will continue to spin the same bullshit until Nov 08...with oil at $76/b these crooks will bleed the system for every penny until forced out of office....and Pelosi says no to impeachment...we deserve what we get in this world...I guess....SIGH!

"...the fact that 50-60% of Americans still think the Al Qaeda-Saddam link to 9/11 exists..."

Sometimes the abject ignorance in this country embarrasses the hell out of me.

"is casting himself as a "conduit" between the top leaders of al Qaeda and al Qaeda in Iraq." Let me guess, his name is BANDAR.

The person who penned that article was never a true believer. It was a fraud like Dan Rather.

Ramadi hasn't had an IED go off since February. Our soldiers are getting bored there. Isn't that nice. I hope their bordom doesn't result in their letting their guard down.

Wow, one city of 400,000. Only 25,600,000 residents to go.
Peter, just so you know, the insurgents have headed to the north. They don't fight were we are, it's simpler to go somewhere else.
And what about all those attacks on the Green Zone we can't stop.
How about those great Iraqi troops we are training, we just killed six policemen in a gunbattle. Not one American soldier or civilian contractor trusts the Iraqi's we have trained.
And need I mention that we have been in Iraq for over 4 years and we still cannot secure 7.5 miles of road (Route Irish) between the Green Zone and the Airport.
Time for you to go take a nice walk in Iraq. I'm sure the Iraqi's will welcome you with open arms.

Now they only get 1 or 2 truck bombs a day. It's a real pleasure spot. Take an American flag and wave it on Main Street and see how long you last.

"Another crazy wannabe."

Naaaah. This is just too conveniently timed.

I wonder what "enhanced interrogation techniques" they used on that guy to get him to say just what they needed him to say for their current P.R. campaign.

I don't think some folks understand how they feed on carrion. This "fed up" person was not concerned about the death of the "people" of Iraq. Did you notice that the killing was okay, but it was the way his fellow christians were led into it that made it bad?
now this "christian" and I do add notable derision to this adjective, is upset that it has come to the painful realization that it was lied to. yet it also appears reasonably well read, yet voted for the thing 2 times, proudly stated.
my fellow humans, none of you would justify mass murder. only something that embraces mass murder could be so vacant to the suffering of others. this thing mentions genocide as something it knew all about for 5 years.
would sociopath be an apt description? an improperly worded mistake, an omission? It has demonstrated it lacks certain characteristics that a "person" might understand and choose to value. Can we agree that life, freedom, food and water are at least high on the list? This thing is concerned about the attack on christians that is coming next. it has no people, only a subjective membership in a club that worships words, and not deeds.

this one chose blindness as a remedy. but it could smell the flesh burning in the ovens.

Are they neo-cons? Just asking so I know what "mass" we're talking about before I give you an answer.
