Perhaps the doctors will be able to find Jeff Gannon. He's been missing lately.

Posted by Bob In Pacifica at July 20, 2007 10:41 AM

Maybe bu$h will finally see the light!

Posted by Seven of Six at July 20, 2007 10:47 AM

Hope the doctors are finally able to Get Bush's head out of his ass.

Posted by ann at July 20, 2007 10:52 AM

This will be bu$h'$ true Friday night news dump.

Posted by Seven of Six at July 20, 2007 11:06 AM

I blogged about this under the headline 'Insert joke here.' Maybe not the best headline to use.

Maybe they'll finally find the 'honor and integrity' that Bush promised to restore to the White House.

Posted by Stranger at July 20, 2007 11:09 AM

I think they'll find a new Iraq policy. That is where he's pulled the other ones from, after all.

Posted by biggerbox at July 20, 2007 11:11 AM

Shooter will simply continue his usual Saturday afternoon ritual of roasting babies, who's parents are liberals, on a spit and gorging himself on their entrails... if he can stay awake, that is.

Posted by redneckrepub at July 20, 2007 11:26 AM

Here's hopin' Dubya has a CRACKin' good time.

Posted by redstater at July 20, 2007 11:28 AM

will Dick be in the room with Bush during the procedure?

Posted by T2 at July 20, 2007 11:33 AM

God forbid if Dick had a heart attack and passed during the procedure. Who would be interim President?

Posted by Seven of Six at July 20, 2007 11:47 AM

T2- On first pass I thought you wrote "Will Dick be "in Bush" during the procedure?" Or maybe that was your true intent!

Posted by Trieatalot at July 20, 2007 11:49 AM

while Bush undergoes a colonoscopy

Maybe doctors will retrieve Jeff Gannon's condom.

Posted by Christopher at July 20, 2007 11:54 AM

"Who would be interim President?"

Nancy Pelosi?? She could immediately declare Dubya an enemy combatant, and have him hauled off to Gitmo without access to an attorney and without a right to habeus corpus.

Posted by redstater at July 20, 2007 12:00 PM

Dicks in charge now so whats the difference.

Posted by jj at July 20, 2007 12:15 PM

Bush is undergoing a colonoscopy.

Ohhhh - brain surgery!!

Posted by Shirin at July 20, 2007 12:22 PM

this with the announcement of royal birth is not comforting. perfect time for shooter to have the idiot wacked.

Posted by oldtree at July 20, 2007 12:28 PM

hehe - so far, Shirin wins the thread!

Posted by iamcoyote at July 20, 2007 12:30 PM

redstater has the better solution. it would end the crisis and the regime. I can hear the whining now

Posted by oldtree at July 20, 2007 12:34 PM

This is his second time for this while in office. So perhaps Steve should say the second "authorized surveillance". And, of course it's Cheney's second time for acting president.

Maybe he could attack Iran. Wouldn't that make your day.

Posted by peter at July 20, 2007 12:41 PM

Oh brain surgery

Oh, wow a two-fer, Rove getting surgery too.

Posted by emal at July 20, 2007 01:07 PM

They are examining the wrong end of his body! A thorough examination of his brain (if they can find it) is more important.

Posted by at July 20, 2007 01:10 PM

we already know what the a*hole looks like from the outside.

Posted by Flamethrower at July 20, 2007 01:11 PM

Is the procedure really an attempt to remove Mr. Cheney's arm at the shoulder or to insert it further? Either way, it doesn't take a dose of local or general anaesthetic to deem Mr. Bush incompetent. He gets there every day all by himself.

Posted by OutSourced at July 20, 2007 02:12 PM

The problem I see is that cHENEY will declare lil bUSHY an ENEMA Combattant and not give him his job back. Then dICK will just move his powers from the veep position to the pResidents position and by that act have even MORE executive power.

Posted by Wilbur Carp at July 20, 2007 02:12 PM

routine? reagan had a growth in his ass and Bush 1 had a growth on his finger when he was raygun's vp. Bush 1 had a thing in his ass and dan quayle had something growing on him, and now this bushwa has something stuck in his ass and has a cheney that has something weird on the end of it's appendage like tool.

what in the hell is with all these guys? do they really get their VP's to do the primary medical exams with different tools? what do they do with boys in the WH? at least Clenis was hetero and apparently not a perv. how does this make us look in the world?

all right smarty pants, "just the same"

Posted by oldtree at July 20, 2007 02:25 PM

They are all good, but I vote for biggerbox. Pretty funny.

Posted by Judith at July 20, 2007 03:07 PM

I never thought the image of the chimp could actually overpower my gag reflex, but he has to take stuff that will make him run to the bathroom in a monumental crapfest marathon to enable the doctor to get a clear picture thru the scope of McLame and Lieberloser's heads tomorrow.

Posted by TIKI AL at July 20, 2007 04:18 PM

Ewwwwwww - Tiki Al! That is a mental image I just don't need! I mean, considering the putrid, stinking crap that constantly pours out of his mouth - well, I just don't even wanna IMAGINE what might come out of the other end!

Posted by Shirin at July 20, 2007 04:25 PM

I liked biggerbox's punchline too - very funny and very apt.

Posted by Shirin at July 20, 2007 04:26 PM

So that is where Tony Blair has been hanging out since he resigned as Prime Minister.

Posted by blowback at July 20, 2007 05:00 PM

If mental images of bush on the crapper last for more than 4 hours, call a doctor.

Posted by TIKI AL at July 20, 2007 05:05 PM

God be with you Mr President.

Posted by jj at July 20, 2007 05:06 PM

The end times are truly upon us. Maybe even as soon as tomorrow.

Posted by ann at July 20, 2007 05:24 PM

Since Cheney will be pResident tomorrow for a short time (difficult to type those words), there's something you should know. He has a "different understanding with the president" about his role.

In his Park Avenue corner suite at Cerberus Global Investments, Dan Quayle recalled the moment he learned how much his old job had changed. Cheney had just taken the oath of office, and Quayle paid a visit to offer advice from one vice president to another.

"I said, 'Dick, you know, you're going to be doing a lot of this international traveling, you're going to be doing all this political fundraising . . . you'll be going to the funerals,' " Quayle said in an interview earlier this year. "I mean, this is what vice presidents do. I said, 'We've all done it.' "

Cheney "got that little smile," Quayle said, and replied, "I have a different understanding with the president."

Mal here, and I agree with Ann; this ain't nothing to joke about.

Who's going to pick up the poop and store it? Anybody remember Bush's visit overseas a few years ago, and powers that be took care of all of Bush's #1 and #2 offerings and...it got stored in a secret place in case any proletarian nosy busybody could detect any drugs, etc. A special op reserved only for dictators. A time honored tradition going back to Hitler and Stalin.

What time is the shit coming down? I want to brace myself for the nuke attack--duct tape on the windows, y'all!!!

Posted by Mal Feasance at July 20, 2007 07:40 PM

Hey, maybe President Cheney will pardon Scooter Libby. That will take up an hour maybe two.

Posted by peter at July 20, 2007 08:01 PM

Maybe the doctor will find peter in the president's colon?

Uuuuuh..not wood. We all know the pretzledent has taken plenty of wood. I'm talking about peter in the president's ass.

Posted by phidipides at July 20, 2007 08:53 PM

Perhaps analogous to what his regime has accomplished in the last 8 years?

One has to hand it to fascism. They have sown the intellectual seeds for the stunning event horizons they now approach for over 40 years, They have intensified and concentrated their accomplishments with no real end in sight. Perhaps the last boot they will drop will be the literal suppression of all forms of progressivism.

To the contrary liberalism has not done that ideological intensification and moved further left. All it can ever offer or really want is the same old thing. It has always been bound by the strictures of a constitutional, capitalist democracy to which it aspires to and with which it is contented with.

There has never been any desire to destroy the useless American constitution;t here has never been any program to destroy or suppress the right by legal or extra-legal means; there has never been any desire to break the rules and move programmatically left. In fact history is clear that the real left was destroyed by the heirs of that Democratic party you now want to elect.

As fascism breaks rules on a seemingly daily basis, they treat the Constitution as if it did not exist. They move further, further. And the Democrats? After 40 or so years they have Hillary.

Wow.

Cheney and Bush revealed to all what a sham the American system of governance really is.

It is perversely good the GOP has moved to destroy the pretense of that governance-something the Democratic party, with no where to go if they did-continues to buttress, reveling in the pretense.

You all did too good a job marginalizing the left. Or else you embarrassed them with all the juvenile attempts at humor one finds in this thread. Ha Ha Ha.

"Until Germany has exploded the entanglement of such Medusa-like beliefs that confront it...it cannot hope for a future."
-(Walter Benjamin, "Theories of German Fascism." )

Sadly, for America, it cannot even recognize the entanglements as entanglements, much less explode them.

Posted by Jill Bains at July 20, 2007 11:14 PM

You know Jill, it would be easier on us all if you just come out with it. Tell us where you stand. What form of government is your utopia.
You continually criticize. Quit the moaning cow act. Facsim to the right, liberals to the left, nothing is working, wah, wah, wah! You have no useful suggestions to change our government yourself. Please, enlighten us on what activities you participate in that will create a positive effect on our society.
Then...maybe...I'll listen, if not...STFU!

Posted by Seven of Six at July 20, 2007 11:35 PM

1)GET OUT YER TARP AND DUCT TAPE!
2)White House briefly admits the obvious then immediately reclassifies.

Posted by ~bono~ at July 21, 2007 01:47 AM

Seven of Six, I love you. Finally someone has asked Jill Bains the $64,000 question. I wonder if Bains can pontificate on that in less than fifty words?

Posted by Judith at July 21, 2007 03:53 AM

Impeach Jill Bains!

Posted by Mal Feasance at July 21, 2007 05:22 AM

my wife's question to me this morning:

how could anyone tell if bush was under anesthesia or not?

Posted by orionATL at July 21, 2007 08:59 AM

Thank you all for reading me. Which I knew you all do any way.

And please. It is astounding that a thread on colonoscopy could yield so many awful, even commiserable attempts at humor.

Back to the crib and the sand box for you. Rattle those toys!

No wonder that fascism is so successful with you all as the self proclaimed opposition.

It is not healthy to continue to stew in your own inanity; it is better to read me.

What form of government do I support?

The opposite from what is supported by you.

And fascism is not the opposite of what is supported by you.

Posted by Jill Bains at July 21, 2007 11:06 AM

You mean, like you read us Jill? Come on Jill, inquiring minds want to know. You didn't answer the question?

Posted by Judith at July 21, 2007 12:44 PM

pResident bUSH has now officially been named Public Enema Number 1.

Posted by Wilbur Carp at July 21, 2007 02:12 PM

President Bush has five polyps removed...and, surprisingly, their names were Scooter Libby, Donald Rumsfeld, Harriet Miers, Michael Brown, and Colon (heh) Powell. Jesus, no wonder the man is so full of shit.
