Comments: Obama’s Speech – A Dissenting View

Well, as a FDL commenter quoted a C&L commenter: "We'll spend money over there so we don't have to spend it here." Obama: more of the same?

A politician doesn't keep the AIPAC money flowing unless he trumpets Likudnik talking points.

Obama has sold out. He's come a long way from the days when he spoke out against the daily human rights violations and collective punishment that Palestinians living in Gaza and the occupied terratories are forced to deal with daily.

It's no coincidence that one never hears the term "occupied terratories" in the corporate news anymore. That land is now Israel. And anyone who disputes that is either an anti-Semite or terrorist sympathizer.

Every "major speech" that Obama gives makes me less interested in him. I'm glad I'm not the only who found his speech rather "bush-light"-ish.

thanks soccerdad.

when dems talk like this - and other dems support it... well, i don't want to get banned, so i'll leave it to the imagination.

Sharon: Obama: more of the same?

Maybe, maybe not. For me that beats the rest, war hawks one and all.

Obama's speech is simply appalling. Bush lite my Aunt Fatima! It is Bush all over again - nothing lite about it.

I agree on dispensing with calling Bush an idiot. Only an idiot would actually believe he's the real mastermind behind his administration. This is clearly a Cheney presidency. Is that still in doubt?
