Comments: Hollow Words From Walz

Well, Steve, why wouldn't Walz think he can get away with saying one thing and doing another, when, most of the time, it's like watching a kid's soccer game (as famously described by Atrios a while back). Some pol says "impeachment" everyone runs his way and yells "Soandso for President!" Then another says "troops out now!" and everyone runs thataway. Ron Paul says "End the war!" and everyone flocks to his side despite him also saying he wants to end all social programs. It's kinda funny to watch, even if it is a bit frustrating.

You make a good point, iac. It's like the Democrats in 2006 saying they would bring the troops home, stand up to the r-cons, and stop the republi-con rubber stamping of everything the pretzledent wants. People ran the Dem way...and look what happened! Folks'll know better next time.

Not really the same thing, p-dip, people weren't running toward the Dems, they were running away from Bush. And I don't remember any of them promising to end the war, but if you've got link to a quote from a candidate who said that and got elected, I'd love to see it.

No need to confabulate. And it's obvious you've forgotten Pelosi and the "New Direction".

So people voted for Demcorats to do the same thing, only under a different name? ROFLMAO!!! The Democrats weren't the r-cons by going along with Bushco. That is some tricky calculus that.

To the others here: Hey, you guys only voted against Bush. All that nonsense the Dems talked about was, well, nonsense. So don't have an expectation for anything else and you'll be happy. And if any Dem candidate tells you they are working for healthcare, lower student loans, cheaper pharmaceuticals, fiscal accountability, etc., they are just telling you they aren't Busch. It is not something they will work for or take a stand on. Just keep on clapping for Tinkerbell!

is he dem or repub? i can't tell from his site.

does anyone else think it's odd how politicians don't put their
party affiliation one there websites, or political campaign signs?

i see here in NC no one mentions there party, dem or repub.

p-dip, it's so sad to see how mental you've become. Truly, it is. Every time you post, I expect you to just cut out mid-sentence from an aneurysm. You used to be so logical, and funny; now it's like you freak out whenever anyone disagrees that we should be foaming at the mouth and pulling out our hair. And the way you "confabulate" and generalize everything is getting rather nonsensical and annoying.

If you thought the occupation was going to be ended by dems before Bush got out of office, then you're the one whose expectations were freakishly high. You're the one believing in Tinkerbell, sweetie, not me. Sure, Reid and Pelosi have played things more stupidly than I'd hoped, and that's a bummer, but god, it's not anything to slit your wrists over.

Damn, that's bitchy.

Damn, that's bitchy.

Bitchy? Showing concern for p-dip's health?

What's bitchy is p-dip taking my statement:

people weren't running toward the Dems, they were running away from Bush.

and saying I said:

To the others here: Hey, you guys only voted against Bush.

Or taking this statement:

I don't remember any of them promising to end the war

And pretending I said:

So people voted for Demcorats to do the same thing, only under a different name?

and:

So don't have an expectation for anything else and you'll be happy.

I asked for a link to a Dem explicitly promising to stop the occupation and bring the troops home, and got a wild-ass twisting of words and silly Tinkerbell accusation yet again. And I'm being bitchy. Yep.

Oh, you were showing concern for phidipides health. My mistake.

My mistake.

Thanks for the acknowledgment.

p-dip, it's so sad to see how mental you've become.

You are becoming more asinine by the moment. I think your lack of reading ability and your tendency to put your own thoughts into others words is -much like your gay-bashing of Christopher- something you're doing of which you are completely unaware.

I asked for a link to a Dem explicitly promising to stop the occupation and bring the troops home

That was not what I said. I'm sure you'll retort with a witty "Is too! Is too!" So you don't think any Dem was campaigning on bringing the troops home? And you wonder about my mental health? Did you sleep through the mid-term elections? Come on, be honest. You really can't think any person out here would think you are serious with this kind of comment? I suppose you've forgotten about Murtha, Pelosi-Murtha et al, etc., etc., ad infinitum.

Regardless of your silly comments, I simply refuse to link for you. The first rule of working with the delusional is don't feed into their delusions at any level. I'm sure you'll snap out of it.
