You have nothing to apologize for. It is way past time for................for what. Politeness? Patience? Concern?
This country is in DEEP DEEP trouble and it is making many people crazy with anger. I just watched A Ship of Fools. ( The old movie) There was a scene at a dinner table where some Nazi to be ( it was just before Hitler began his insanity but rumblings were in the air) was cheerleading Hilter. An intellectual at the table said calmly, to the others, "thank goodness there are enough reasonable people in the world never to allow Hitler to gain a foothold much less realize his crazy goals."
Ha ha.
We are in a state in this country where people, like the frog in hot water, have gradually become used to the unacceptable. That is truly frightening. I no longer support the Democratic party either. I am working to draft Gore to run for president. Not that he can "save" us all. But this country needs authentic leadership and a whippin.......i.e.. it needs to disabuse itself of some pretty vulgar, narcissistic, and dangerous mind sets in order to not only join the world, but keep from destroying it along with to good old USA.

face it, too many Democrats agree that America has the right to do whatever it wants whenever it wants
we haven't hit bottom yet
Posted by gay veteran at August 25, 2007 06:54 PMI agree. No apology necessary. We simply cannot stand around and smile while getting plugged by these cowards. That changes nothing.

Gay Veteran, how right you are my friend. Despair came over me the day that the Democrats voted to condone further spying on Americans.
S, thank you for reminding me of a great old movie. The Ship of Fools (the original) has got to be one of the best movies. I'm going to try to find it and watch it again.
Posted by Judith at August 25, 2007 08:10 PMParadox, there are few exceptions here to not screaming in rage at what is happening to us. Hell, I have spent the last six years screaming. In fact, some would think I need anger management. LOL
Posted by Judith at August 25, 2007 08:16 PMIf everything weren't so tragic, I'd make a comment; but everything is tragic so I'll admit I'm stinking drunk, and it's summer so I'm allowed. And by God, it's the only summer we'll ever see. Mark my words.
Posted by Mal Feasance at August 25, 2007 09:46 PMgay veteran,
It isn't that Democrats agree that America can do whatever it wants whenever it wants. Americans, probably upwards of 90% of them, hold this as sacred, ordained by God and vindicated by history.
Democrats are, if nothing else, Americans.
As individuals and in small groups, Americans can be wonderful in every way. As a nation, they tend to be bigoted, ignorant, prone to violence and abysmally stupid.
"I'll admit I'm stinking drunk, and it's summer so I'm allowed.
Mal, does that mean you don't drink in the winter? (winck winck)
Posted by Judith at August 26, 2007 02:52 AMSince TLC has become the Hillary Chronicles, this latest utterance from the Hillary monster is so nutty, so over-the-top that it had to posted:
"It’s a horrible prospect to ask yourself, ‘What if? What if?’ But if certain things happen between now and the election, particularly with respect to terrorism, that will automatically give the Republicans an advantage again, no matter how badly they have mishandled it, no matter how much more dangerous they have made the world," Hillary told supporters in Concord.
A triple backflip inverse is the goal in Olympic gymnastics but Hillary outdid herself with this remark.
How the hell can both the lack of an attack and an attack be to their advantage? Maybe one of Hillary's Harpies can grease the wheels on this one?
Just curious, but knowing Bush and his arrogance, does anyone think he may have a tape recorder in the Oval Office?
Posted by Judith at August 26, 2007 04:09 AMjudith...he may well have..and better yet a video camera..
Posted by dennis at August 26, 2007 05:13 AMal gore ..where are you?..
this country is currently involved in nation building..for oil...someone needs to stop these guys...it is as plain as the nose on your face that iraq has nothing to do with fighting terrorism..and it never did..this country has been deceived by the biggest blunder this country has ever made..deceived and lied to..about why we are there..it's the mother of all conspiracies..bush..cheney..and co....should be tried for crimes against humanity
Posted by dennis at August 26, 2007 05:31 AMChristopher, I'm not commenting on Hillary's remarks, but I guarantee that if an attack happened that the korporate media would do everything they possibly could to prop up Bush. After all they've been doing that since he stole the election in 2000.
Posted by gay veteran at August 26, 2007 06:26 AMOctober Surprise, a terrorist attack?
Posted by Judith at August 26, 2007 07:29 AMJohn Edwards on Face the Nation right now.
Posted by Judith at August 26, 2007 07:31 AMOctober Surprise, a terrorist attack?
Shhhhh, Judith.
As we've been told repeatedly, Bush really won in 2000, Hillary is genuine alternative to Guiliani and the Pentagon isn't planning to attack Iran.
Posted by Christopher at August 26, 2007 08:21 AMgay veteran - the R.ightwing O.wned M.edia is only a mouthpiece for the Bush junta and AIPAC. A free and honest media? Not in Murika.
Posted by Christopher at August 26, 2007 08:23 AMI reject the notion that a third party vote is a throw away vote. If all we have is Corporate Hillary who wants to create an universal health care plan that doesn't cover everyone and only becomes a gravy train bailout for insurance companies and her biggest donors, forget it! If she wants to invade Iran, forget it! I don't see any difference between Hillary and Rudy at this point. I think voting for Hillary is a throw away vote because it keeps the status quo.
I hope if Edwards doesn't get the nomination that he will consider running as a third party or as an (I). The only way to create change in our party is by our votes. If we aren't winning then the party MUST change to survive. This will give voices to Edwards, Kucinich and people who want to change the system for the better and stop us from going down this suicide path.
I will vote for Edwards in the primary. If he is the Democrat candidate, I will vote for him in November 2008. If Hillary wins the nomination, I will email Edwards daily asking him to run. If he refuses, I will vote for a third party. I will not vote for Hillary. I will not vote for Rudy. I will NOT stay home on election day. I will use my vote to voice my opinion. I will use my vote to FORCE change.
