While many in the blogosphere have taken part in the assault upon Baird, I would point out that he still supports a troop withdrawal starting next spring
Steve - thats when the 15 month rotations are up and they have to come home barring being extended which seems unlikely unless you want a complete mutiny
Posted by soccerdad at August 29, 2007 12:49 PMgood point about the 12 months to withdraw (under the best conditions). That guarantees our troops will be there at least a year after the new president takes office, and as far as I can tell, only Richardson and Paul have said they'd start right withdrawing away and they can't win anyway. Hillary kinda said it, but she's in her "I'll say anything you want" phase. And if its Cheney, fagetabout. Why do I mention Cheney? Put him in the GOPer polls alongside Rudy and Mitt and Lover Boy and you'll find out why.
Posted by T2 at August 29, 2007 01:09 PMApril sounds good to me provided the surge is going well. 1 Brigade a month draw down till the end of the year should do just fine. Let's see how many of the progressives over here get behind what Ellen Tauscher says? She talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk.

Bush's attack upon Iran will trap our soldiers in a free-fire zone countrywide...."
Yep, Gilliard's nightmare scenario. Still missing you Steve (G., not S.)!
