Congress will shirk its duty. Like, duh.

Jesus, how much of this charade can a body stand.

Kill us, China. Put this rabid animal out of its misery. Help the world.

Over at Raw Story, Geraldo Sleaze is broadcasting swill over a group of 9/11 Cover-UP protesters! Geraldo has the GALL to shout down the protesters: GET A LIFE! Hooray for Alex Jones, a dude who should really have his own cable TV show.

In this brief display, Geraldo,(my butt is on my head)and all of MSM is shown up for the CRAP it is.

After the so-called Patraeus assessment (written by the Bush administration), Bush will ask for an additional $50 billion for his war in Iraq.

Does anyone think the Harry and Nancy show will rise to the occasion and tell Bush "no?" Expect the same, tired rhetoric from these two enablers along the lines of "We won't abandon the troops!"

Code for, we don't have a spine, especially before a presidential election to oppose this president.

Bush used the mitiary money intended for Afghanistan to prepare for war with Iraq. He'll use the new funds to prepare for war with Iran.

ALL RISE

Bush and the Republican Party would dearly love to defy conventional wisdom and retake Congress and hold the Presidency in 2008. However, many in the party would privately concede prospects are bleak. Bush himself may feel the same way despite his renown for optimism in the face of long odds (see '06 elections). Isn't it painfully obvious to everyone Bush must somehow extend his current war strategy until passing off this mess to the next (Democratic) President? It would be such a Rovian tactic to pin inevitable failure and withdrawal on Clinton or Obama that it must be conceded that's the plan. Does Bush really give a damn what happens over there so long as a Democrat is fingered as having lost a war given him/her with "victory in sight". Petraeus and Co. must convince the electorate that victory is achievable. All the forces of The Right must spend the next 16 months enforcing the idea Bush and the military are mere weeks or months away from a critical breakthrough. After the next inauguration concerted efforts will start, assigning guilt to that President for cowardly and cravenly retreating just as Iraqis and our military had their goals at hand, their hopes nearly realized. I don't see this war as anything but a losing proposition for the next administration. Republicans are already mapping out their 2010 midterm election strategy. Democrats being in league with the dreaded Islamofascists plays a prominent part in their plans.

Harry Reid is already out there calling the general a liar and a liar for quite some time, yet he voted to confirm this 'liar'. Who's going to believe anything this guy says?

"over the years he's made a number of statements that were not always truthful."

Yet he voted to confirm this guy this year. Did he just come to this conclusion? Or is this more politics of personal destruction.

Osama Bin Lefty is releasing another video.

I remember the White House asking for Hollywood help in the fight against terrorism.

Posted by Seven of Six at September 10, 2007 07:45 AM

peter, You know damn well that Gen. Betraeus is going to give White House talking points, no less. There is no doubt he is the Colin Powell of 2007!
Another cartoon character bu$h came up with. Betraeus has lost all credibility with the people of the United States and Admiral Fallon.

Posted by Seven of Six at September 10, 2007 07:55 AM

Aligning yourself with Rahm Emanuel now. Very good Seven. Calling this general that this Congress approved of by an 81 to zero margin a traitor.

Headlines please... "General Petraeus a traitor" Democratic Senators unanamously approve a "traitor" to be commander on the ground in Iraq.

Great read there, gives the people a lot of confidence in their judgement. A lot of reasons to vote Democratic in 2008. Not one senator voted against him, not one. They voted against Roberts and Alito, but not Petraeus. Where's the priority? I know, not with our troops. Worried about the courts, but not our troops. No wonder Democrats can't be trusted with our national security.

I can remember Vice President Al Gore in 2001. "He's my Commander in Chief". Y'all want us to trust him, too. Then shortly afterward, "He betrayed this country...". Oh well, he's forgiven for that prior lapse in judgement. Words don't matter anyway.

Just more proof, Democrats can't be trusted to stand up for America and Americans.

Judith: Maybe McLame was refering to this excerpt from a "Time Magazine" article when he said yesterday on George Stephanopoulos that if the nation(leftys) loses this war("presidents don't lose wars, congress doesn't lose wars, nations lose wars"), there will be rampant drug use by the military and riots on the aircraft carriers.

"Thousands came home contaminated with heroin. Race riots broke out among soldiers at places like Danang, even on an aircraft carrier in the South China Sea."...Time Magazine. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,942567-4,00.html

Gee, so it seems McLame left the "RACE" off of race riot. So all of those race riots in the states were caused by the leftys losing the Viet Nam War? Who knew???

I sleep well knowing that McLame has NO shot at being President.

Just more proof, Democrats can't be trusted to stand up for America and Americans.

What about the Iraqis!!

Betraeus is the marionette of the bu$h administration. I was even giving this General a chance, but since he wants to obfuscate the true Iraqi problems.

peter, We have an outbreak of cholera in the north and now in the south, (check WHO). And the Pentagon plans on building a new base on the Iraq - Iran border!! While we have a humanitarian crisis in Iraq? WTF don't you understand peter! We are completely ignoring Iraqi people but we can build new bases!?

Your fucking priorities are messed up, get a clue! You want some sort of neo-con military victory! The Progressives want to feed, clothe, house, and give potable water to the Iraqis!! They cannot stand on their own as long we are supplying the teat for them to suck on!
They still don't have an operational government.

Oh yeah, Al Qaeda would not be in Iraq if we left!

I'm finished with your non-sense, you proved yet again you have no care in the world for the Iraqi people just some neo-con world domination!

Posted by Seven of Six at September 10, 2007 08:45 AM

You and your world domination. Not me.

Like you, I just want a world at peace. Sometimes, one needs to remind people that peace is desireable.

Show me Democrats in Congress talking about this outbreak. Show me their concerns for the people of Iraq. They just want our military out, just like Vietnam. No care for those left behind. Moveon, Kos, Mydd, and Openleft, none seem to concerned about the people left behind. Cindy Sheehan was concerned about the people there, only the 'children' being sent there.

Posted by peter at September 10, 2007 08:59 AM

you proved yet again you have no care in the world for the Iraqi people just some neo-con world domination!

Oh, his goals are much more mundane, SoS. All he wants is to make some progressives online feel bad, and it looks like he's managed to do that with you. Gotta ignore the idiot, big guy, he really isn't worth the headache! Face it, trying to make a Republican care about others is like trying to make a dog stop sniffing asses. Never gonna happen.

Posted by iamcoyote at September 10, 2007 09:08 AM

Seven, you can't have a Marshall Plan without a victory. We need a victory there. The world wants a victory there. Look at the alternative, America, the only remaining superpower will not stand up for the little guy. America will not keep their word. Vietnam cost us a lot in this world. Letting them go, not keeping our promises didn't help the worlds impression of America.

We need to restore the image that so many gave so much for. General Petraeus is very much like Ike. He will get us to the ending that we both want here. A peaceful world, a world where we're building up people not tearing them down. A world where the economies of every nation rise and the people's grow.

He will bring our troops home. This Congress needs not to get in the way. He can reduce our footprint there. He will reduce our footprint there. Seperate that animosity against Bush from our war effort.

Posted by peter at September 10, 2007 09:34 AM

Iamcoyote, well Peter does believe in "survival of the fittest" afterall.

TIKI AL, well I'll be damned. You mean us Leftys did all that. WOW! I didn't realize we had that much power.

Craig Files Papers To Withdraw Guilty Plea.

Seems he was tricked by the cops, who told him it would go away if he signed a guilty plea, and then read him his rights. So, the police blackmailed him into signing a confession. Those dirty thugs!

A new study indicates that Repug brains process and interpret information differently than liberal brains. Maybe this is why Repugs are so dumb and mindless.

Craig Files Papers To Withdraw Guilty Plea.

I saw Carville this weekend defending Craig, asking why the 'pukes drove him to resign when all he did was pay a misdemeanor ticket, not confess to gay sex. I don't like Carville, but it was a great question. The 'pukes are pissed! They want a non-gay guy appointed by the Idaho gov rather than face the prospect of a tough, expensive campaign for them. Heh. Make 'em work for it, I say!

Posted by iamcoyote at September 10, 2007 10:08 AM

Seven, you can't have a Marshall Plan without a victory.

Get a clue fuckwad, there is no "Marshall Plan" for Iraq!

The world wants a victory there.

Yeah, but for the U.S.?

General Petraeus is very much like Ike.

You were comparing him to Sherman 2 months ago, then Patton or was it the other way around. Now Ike?

A peaceful world, a world where we're building up people not tearing them down.

Right, and the Iraqi's have such a peaceful country now... wonderful clean flowing water and sweet humming air conditioning that is blowing like a breath of fresh air... while they flee in the millions to Jordon and Syria.
You make me puke peter!

A world where the economies of every nation rise and the people's grow.

Yes, let's make un-regulated capitalism rise for all to experience! That will show the world, they too, can live in the same corrupt state we have here in America.
What a shameful example we set for the world. Let's get our own economic house in order before we spread the bu$h cabal way of thinking.

He will bring our troops home. This Congress needs not to get in the way. He can reduce our footprint there. He will reduce our footprint there. Seperate that animosity against Bush from our war effort.

He's doing it right now isn't he, by asking them to stay until next spring? He told one Democratic congresswoman 9-10 years!!!

BTW, it's the job of congress to keep this nut case pResident in check! I know it has been a long time but remember checks and balances?

This is not a "war effort"! It's an occupation and an endless money pit. At least it is until we force the Iraqi's to sign an agreement for their natural resources.

Posted by Seven of Six at September 10, 2007 10:12 AM

"Marshall Plan?"

Is that some kind of joke? There was no plan for handling the insurgency in Iraq and you think those morons could come up with anything close to a "Marshall Plan?" You're as deluded as George "Slam Dunk" Tenet and the rest of them.

"We need a victory there."

You don't get a victory when you occupy a country.

there is no war in iraq..our childrens blood is being spilt in the sands of the middle east for oil..our future need of it..they are not dying for democracy..they are not dying for freedom..they are not dying to protect us from terrorism..they are dying because of oil..that is the reason we are in iraq..and if we attack iran..it will be because of oil...why haven't we tracked down osama?..there is a reason for that..if we wanted him caught or dead..he would be

Bush is definitely "Abbie Normal!"

Posted by iamcoyote at September 10, 2007 11:55 AM

pants pissing peter: "Where's the priority? I know, not with our troops."

Well we know how YOU support the troops, by leaving them to die in the middle of a religious civil war.

"stand up for America and Americans"? When are YOU heading down to your local Army recuitment center? your country needs you, IN Iraq

"No care for those left behind"? You fu*king hypocrite! Bush's war of aggression has resulted in the deaths of nearly one million Iraqis.

"We need to restore the image that so many gave so much for." The likes of yellow curs like you have destroyed our image: war of aggression, war crimes, torture, rendition, etc., etc. At long last HAVE YOU NO SHAME?

...in the movie "Young Frankenstein"?

Gene Wilder: "Wow, look at those knockers!"

Terri Garr: "Why thank you!"

Sorry that's a couple of the funniest lines from that movie!
