If Rudy G. says that he believes that General Betrayus is telling the truth, then he is a complete idiot and a fool, to boot...

Why, Rudy...How very Republican of you!
Seriously, anyone who votes for this wingnut, chickenhawk FRAUD is outta their f**king mind.
He (almost) makes Bush look sane.

They're all outraged by MoveOn.org's "Gen. Betray-us" ad.
Too fucking bad.

Interesting that of all Giuliani's character flaws you chose that to take issue with.
Do you really believe that falling in love with 'the wrong person' is a character flaw?
Posted by snark at September 14, 2007 01:01 PMWow, Giuliani (R-I Got Nuthin') is really determined to win this GOP sprint to the bottom. And the Wurlitzer blaring out lockstepper rhythms to be indignant about a dopey MoveOn ad is really backfiring considering all the crap they've been SILENT about:
"You know something is wrong when the New England Patriots face stiffer penalties for spying on innocent Americans than Dick Cheney and George Bush." - Bill Richardson (09/14/2007)

Posted by Ellie at September 14, 2007 01:05 PMPathetic pools of diarrhea like Rudy and Bush HAVE to protect the Gen'rul's reputation. When it comes to credibility, he's literally the last man standing. As they all try to hide behind his reputation, it slowly dissolves like the Wicked Witch of the West after Dorothy (Admiral "Ass licking Chickenshit" Fallon) has thrown a cold splash of water on her.
Lying to Congress and the American people, while advocating the continued death and dismemberment of his own "troops" for crass political gain and starts on his collar, will finish him a lot faster than used and forgotten old Colon Powell

Ru-Dee's got one defender here! LMAO!
Posted by Christopher at September 14, 2007 01:23 PMGuilty here, too, Christopher.
Posted by Jeff Dinelli at September 14, 2007 01:48 PMPerhaps you're correct Christopher. We should all stick to the societal status quo and marry only those society tells us we can marry. Afterall, marrying someone with whom you share a common great grandparent is...unnatural.

Actually, snark didn't defend Guiliani, he asked you a question. By your avoiding the question, I guess you do believe, then, that falling in love with the wrong person is a character flaw. Wow.
Posted by iamcoyote at September 14, 2007 01:54 PMHey, marry whomever you want. Just don't recombine your DNA if you're in close familial proximity and saddle some poor child with it.
Posted by idiosynchronic at September 14, 2007 01:57 PMHillary's got bigger problems than Rudy flapping is lips right now - Hsu and Paul (and that could lead to more questions about Gupta).
Posted by Marie at September 14, 2007 02:19 PMMaybe the champions of kissin' cousins are correct. Hey, it's the 21st century. If things don't work out between Guiliani and Judy (wife no.3) he can always marry his daughter next. I mean, if there's no such thing as incest, why not?
Posted by Christopher at September 14, 2007 02:21 PMI say dump marriage altogether. Just have a civil contract to take care of the legal considerations and the children and be done with it!
Posted by iamcoyote at September 14, 2007 02:21 PMMarie is correct. The RNC is already exploiting the shit out of the Hsu donor scandal. If they get a conviction, the right will pull out all the stops to tarnish Hillary with it.
Posted by Christopher at September 14, 2007 02:23 PMActually, snark didn't defend Guiliani, he asked you a question. By your avoiding the question, I guess you do believe, then, that falling in love with the wrong person is a character flaw. Wow.
....like totally fucking duh...Coyote...duh ya think marrying Uncle Fester's daughter is like ok???...a bit Ozarkish I'd say... let's face it Rudy's a mutt.

Posted by Christopher at September 14, 2007 03:31 PMWell, I guess the "General Betray-Us" talking point has made it into the permanent lexicon of the Leftist comunity.
The "General Betray-Us" advertisement that was in a previous front page article here at TLC (since reconsidered, I suppose) characterized as "... an unnecessary hit piece on General Petraeus" and "...a personal attack..."
I do suppose then that this particular talking point will soon show up in a video message from al-Queda. After all, given recent communications, al-Queda seems to be reading from the same talking points memo as the "progressive" community.

Funny, Osama looked like a marionette with 'turdblossom' pulling the strings. Or at least the guy in "Weekend at Bernies" propped up for all the bed wetting republi-cons to see.
Seems like you took the bait bags.
I'm sure a new tape of 'Osama on Thorazine' will appear during the next congressional hearing. You know bu$h and "Gen. He-failed-us" will be begging for more money.
And who knows, by the time the presidential election rolls around he will be paraded around in person!
Well, then, 7of6, I suppose that I can count on you to never float the "Osama is still alive....why has not ChimpyBushMcHiltlerBurton killed him yet" argument.
Bravo for you!
Posted by Bagley at September 14, 2007 04:38 PMLook, you're all forgetting one key factor here, the one having to do with the whole General Pretaeus presentation. There weren't supposed to be no tough follow up questions. One of Hillary Clinton's claims to being up to the job of president of these United States comes under the heading of "experience." Well, it seems to me, Mrs. Clinton should have learned a long time ago when and when not to ask questions. Being experienced is not the same thing as learning from it. Take President Bush for example, there's a man who knows his limitations, and he knows instinctively that the best thing to do with a question is dodge it and stay on message. I think you might call that leadership.
Then there's the Giuliani method. You ask him a tough question and he'll admit to every mistake he's ever made, which always gets a laugh, and immediately gives him the opportunity to repeat his 9/11 stories. Another sterling example of leadership.
(As an aside, a lot of real republican leaders didn't enlist in the military and get themselves killed in Vietnam because they were gutless like most democrats - especially those liberal show offs who actually went to Vietnam - but because they already realized that they were naturally leaders and someday their country would need them when there wasn't a war.)
But when I heard about how Hillary Clinton attacked not just the veracity of that general, Petraeus, but his wife and kids, and coupled with that Move ON.Org ad, the first thing I thought of was: Monica Lewinsky. And sex in the White House. And that's where I figure any real American will drawn the line. Because that's what it gets down to: You want to fight terrorism or do you want have sex in the White House? I don't know about the rest of you, but if I weren't on full disability I'd be over there right now, in Iraq, going door to door, asking the real tough questions...
...ChimpyBushMcHiltlerBurton killed him yet" argument.
Got to love it when a neo-con uses Chimpy-bu$h-Hitler in the same sentence.
I knew you wouldn't catch it bags. I was going for, bu$h has already captured him, and is keeping him like a pet on thorazine. Nice try.
Posted by Seven of Six at September 14, 2007 05:07 PMRudy should give all the money that he made from exploiting 9-11 to help those who became ill from working ground zero and those who are suffering from birth defects caused by cousin copulation.

P.S. I am not a "neo-con." I was never a liberal....or a Leftist.
Posted by bagley at September 14, 2007 05:11 PMSo, is Jack Monroe a new troll, or one of the regulars? For the record Jack, if you want to accuse Hillary of "attacking" Petraeus's wife and kids, could you please post a link?
Hmmm, "gutless like most Democrats". "liberal show offs", Move-on and Monica Lewinsky" and Oh MY GOD! "sex in the White House!" I'm sure George W. Bush would NEVER do THAT! Don't let that "full disability" keep you from going door to door (in a foreign country where you have NO fucking right to be) keep you from "asking the tough questions, Jack.
My hero!

Umm...the woman Giuliani married has the same great grandmother. Second cousins once removed. Perfectly legal in New York State and outside of certain specific gene pools not a concern for ill affects on the children of such a union. Christopher is the only one who seems to have expressed any interest in sleeping with children, or his neighbors dog for that matter. A fixation he seems to share with Bill Frist.
Posted by snark at September 14, 2007 07:54 PMDeminNewJ, He's new. I think he's trying to be a comedian though.
Take President Bush for example, there's a man who knows his limitations, and he knows instinctively that the best thing to do with a question is dodge it and stay on message.
If bu$h knew his limitations, he'd keep his mouth shut!
I don't know about the rest of you, but if I weren't on full disability I'd be over there right now, in Iraq, going door to door, asking the real tough questions...
Questions like: "How do I fight terrorism?" or "Can you please tell me, because we've been here for 4 1/2 fucking years and everything we've done is a complete failure?", wait I know, "We need to piss away another 10 billion dollars this month so can I pay you to tell me what I need to know?"
Bwaaaaa! You funny Jack!
Posted by Seven of Six at September 14, 2007 08:07 PMReally, if spouses having a great grandmother in common were so shameful, then most of the people who trace their families back to the early New England settlers would most likely be the product of multiple "shameful" alliances. The spouse pool wasn't too big back then. Say, wasn't FDR related by blood to Elenor?
Give it a break, Christopher, or alternatively, give me your family tree.
