At Sunday night’s Emmy Awards show, award winner Sally Field gave a heartfelt acceptance speech which recognized the mothers of U.S. troops.
“Surely this [award] belongs to all the mothers of the world,” she stated. “May they be seen, may their work be valued and raised. Especially to the mothers who stand with an open heart and wait. Wait for their children to come home from danger, from harm’s way, and from war. I am proud to be one of those women.”
Then, Field continued with, “If mothers ruled the world, there would be no...." but Rupert’s propaganda network quickly off her sound and pointed the camera away from the stage.
This is what Sally Field said:
“If mothers ruled the world, there would be no God damned wars in the first place.”
I wonder if the usual cowards like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, John McCain, Rudy Guiliani and Ann Coulter (am I leaving anyone out?) will issue communiques dissing Sally Field for her antiwar remarks the same way they criticized MoveOn.org for their "Gen. Betray-Us" ad?

Hey, don't worry about al Maliki! He may have precisely half of his cabinet positions vacant, with no one eager to step up and fill them. He may have about a 2 vote majority left in the Parliament, but they're almost never are able to make a quorum call anyway, so who's going to vote no confidence?
I think al the Maliki is starting to fight back. He has "expelled" Blackwater from operating in Iraq. That's sure to make him popular, with the Iraqis, anyway. With David "THE Gen'rul" Petraeus? Perhaps not so much. I sure am glad we're making progress!
