Bernankes decision to do a 50 basis point rate cut just wrecked everything. Dollar value is destroyed. The Canadian dollar is now on par with ours. Capital investment flight is accelerating.
Inflation will soon go nuts especially after the Saudi's removed the dollar peg for oil two days ago.
I don't care how 'progressive' you are, if you are a fat, bloated amerikkkan consumer moron, you are fucked, everything will soon cost you a lot more.
My sense is that we will get by in the aftermarket buying used stuff off of craigslist, ebay or yard sales from fellow strapped humans and the inflation could be a prod to make stuff in America.
