Comments: Will SCHIP Save Democrats From Themselves?

Seems to me I remember lots of claims last spring that Repubs would be "making a big change" on Iraq policy come Sept. Don't think many here thought that, but that was MSM wisdom. Looks like it panned out a bit more like most of us thought--another Repub scam, another conventional wisdom "failure", never remembered by any talking head.

Now it's down to stale "R&R" mandates for our imperial troops' rotations. Yeah, that'll turn things around in a big way. Nibbling at the edges of the shit sandwich. See you in March, Gen'ral Pet!

The wealthy foreign elites of the Empire are basically financing this crock of shit, we sure aren't paying for it ourselves. How long is that going to continue? How long are the rich of the world going to keep enabling the "glorious beggar" BushAmerica in fighting its fake "wars" in the ME? I guess as long as our rigged stock market can be gamed, but one must be willing to hold the shit dollar for that....

Bushco's achilles heel is going to be the economic recklessness it has sown---as the economy is engulfed in inflation and recession, I look forward to watching the dead enders imperial occupation of Iraq stay on course. It looks like further "forcing" of the issue is no use. Time to let history unfold some more, and check up on our glorious Repubs in Iraq at a later date.

Will the Iraq end game be a ball of nuclear fire or a 100 KIA/month whimper? How high will oil go as the dollar collapses? Who cares, right? We've got the Battle of the Ads to fight!

One of your biggest, most odious stupid mistakes is to continue to take GOP shills seriously about ANYTHING.

The greed and stupidity of their corporate handlers like Angelo Mozillo at Countrywide has caused international financial disasters over Collateralized Debt Obligation derivatives larded with sub prime toilet paper.

No one knows how to mark this mess to market and finally assign value and they are terrified of being fired and losing fat bonuses.

The big players took these crap piles of bundled derivatives and sold them all over the planet and this has triggered bank failures in Germany, France and last week, the UK.

We have become an international pariah as a result.

The world is discovering that the US is a fulla shit con artist nation and they are pissed at being burned.

Warren Buffett has repeatedly asserted that these things are weapons of mass financial destruction.

Old Bucky, our sacred dollar, is headed for the derision reserved for the Zimbabwe currency.

The culture of corruption and endemic cheating here, the chimera fools gold that you can get something for nothing, mainly a baby boomer phenomenon, has ensured that GOP oligarchs will be pounded when Joe Six Pack discovers his childish meathead world has been eviscerated.

As James Howard Kunstler notes, we now have hundreds of thousands of unemployed Bushco meatheads with pickup trucks and a pile of power tools and they are about to go ballistic like the people who put Hitler in power.

Who knows what these desperate wrecks will do but one sure thing is that the GOP is toast forever. Game set match OVER.

Our job as progressives is to get real clear, real fast on how we can stave off oligarchic greed disaster and help these poor dumb vicious bastards survive so they can recover their dignity and bread winner capabilities.

Do this and the Democrats will be heroes like FDR for generations to come. Fail this and we are all fucked from the get go.

Not sure what is more stupid the elected clowns or the those who still act like there is any chance of action by the Dems. They are neither brave enough or smart enough to do anything but blather.
