Interesting results in the Survey USA poll in Missouri, a state which tends to lean Republican: Hillary is the only one of the top three Democratic candidates to lose to any of the top three Republicans.

Giuliani (R) 48%, Clinton (D) 45%
Clinton (D) 48%, Thompson (R) 45%
Clinton (D) 51%, Romney (R) 40%

BOTH Obama and Edwards win against all three of the Republicans, with Edwards coming out the best of all. As Hillary increases her lead among Dems, Edwards and Obama are showing strenght in some areas of the country when the polling includes Republican voters. There's electability and then there's electibility.

The recent popularity of the Dem party as a whole in recent polls may be fragile, I'm guessing. In other words, while seeming to be moving ahead in the polls, the Dem party is just one crisis away from losing.

Hillary is toast! Stick a fork in her. David Brooks just called her a serious candidate.

Seriously though, I think it's transparently clear that the National Media are all atwitter to see a Hillary/anyone "race". Julie is right. Many polls have Edwards or Obama doing better against Republican candidates than Hillary, in state polls, but the bloviators on the "news" programs always quote the national polls, which show that more people recognize her name that anyone else's.

All of the serious journalists are already prepared for Hillary's candidacy. Talking points are faxed, Maureen Dowd is ready and the pundits are locked and loaded for open season on another Clinton. Feudal societies were naturally focused on dynastic succession. I am so damned tired of the same small gene pool being accessed for "leadership" in a once representative democracy. We really are better than this horse shit! How do we break through the beltway bubble? We have to somehow, destroy the four decades long capture of the infotainment industry. Until we do that, no progress will be made.

I'm sure they'll all condemn the MoveOn ad...Hillary included.

That greasy weasel, Chris Wallace, didn't waste any time bringing up MoveOn.org's brilliant "Gen. Betray Us" ad. It went down like this.

WALLACE: Senator, you have refused to criticize the MoveOn.org ad about General Petraeus. And in fact, this week you voted against a Senate resolution denouncing it.

President Bush said that you and other Democrats are more afraid — his word — afraid of irritating the left wing and MoveOn than you are about insulting the American military. Does he have a point?

H. CLINTON: No, he doesn't. But I think it's clear I don't condone attacks on anyone who has served our country with distinction and with honor, and I have been very vocal in my support of and admiration for General Petraeus.

I did vote for a resolution that made it clear I do not condone and do condemn attacks on any American, impugning their patriotism, and that includes people like Senator Max Cleland and Senator John Kerry.

ROFL! Perfect answer. Hillary: 1. Wallace: 0

Jebus, six nuclear cruise missiles went missing from Minot AFB, North Dakota for 36 hours? What the f*?

The really scary thing is that lunatic Cheney has access to (quote) "We had a stockpile of more than 400 . . . and some of them were always coming due" for service.

"Among the many weapons and airframes, the AGM-129 cruise missile was well known at the base as a nuclear warhead delivery system carried by B-52s."

These little presents have nuclear payloads of 5 to 150 kilotons. A kiloton is the equivalent of 1000 pounds of TNT. The missing cruise missiles have the explosive equivalent of 60 Hiroshima bombs. All of this information is from today's Washington Post. Gawd, it absolutely staggers me. And the administration is worried about national terrorism or a dirty bomb? The frigging B-52 flight crew didn't even know the one wing of their plane was fully loaded with nukes....

And now they have no credibility left at all, the New(new) York (york) Times (times) admits to a $77000.00 discount on the kook groups ad.

Scratch Two!!

Here is the poll, from which I drew the following stats (all mistakes mine, I was doing this in a hurry):

Giuliani (R) 48%, Clinton (D) 45%
Clinton (D) 48%, Thompson (R) 45%
Clinton (D) 51%, Romney (R) 40%
Obama (D) 46%, Giuliani (R) 44%
Obama (D) 48%, Thompson (R) 45%
Obama (D) 51%, Romney (R) 40%
Edwards (D) 47%, Giuliani (R) 42%
Edwards (D) 50%, Thompson (R) 40%
Edwards (D) 56%, Romney (R) 32%

Clinton/Giuliani -3%
Clinton/Thompson +3%
Clinton/Romney +11%

Obama/Giuliani +2%
Obama/Thompson +3%
Obama/Ronmey +11%

Edwards/Giuliani +5%
Edwards/Thompson +10%
Edwards/Romney +24%

Yikes, take a look at the significant difference between Romney and Edwards. As you can see from this, Obama beats Clinton in only one category, but is a tie with her on the other two Repugly candidates. However, Edwards wins, hands down, each time on all three Repulies.

What's puzzling, though, is the numbers of people polled dropped from Hillary to Obama, and dropped from Obama to Edwards. Not sure what that's about, or if it impacts the numbers.

Clinton 545 registered voters
Clinton A 545 registered voters
Clinton 540 registered voters

Obama 538 registered voters
Obama 530 registered voters
Obama 524 registered voters

Edwards 519 registered voters
Edwards 508 registered voters
Edwards 499 registered voters

The undecided column is ineresting, too. Voters seemed most sure of how they would vote when Hillary was one of the candidates polled, but were most unsure when one of the two candidates involved Edwards. And yet Edwards won. What could this hesitance indicate? Not sure, except I'm guessing it's that the usual Republican voter is less sure when the poll question involves Edwards, but I could be wrong.

Undecided:

Clinton 8, 7, 9

Obama 10,7, 10

Edwards 11, 10, 12

I find this Missouri poll interesting, as Missouri isn't quite a "purple" state, it's more of a reddish-purple state. If it weren't for St. Louis, I'd bet Missouri would be out-and-out red. Anyway, I find Missouri to be on the fringe of the hard-core political right and yet more independently-inclined than other hard-core Republican areas, so when it goes Dem, it's a pretty good indication of Dem strength in other areas of the country.

Hey Tempus, Cheney's just stocking up. He'll use them later when he's ready. He's already got a B1 and B2 bomber and an elite crew for each and their building a nice runway near his home, should be finished next year.

Do you really think they went to Barksdale?

Silly Boy

Posted by jj at September 23, 2007 04:21 PM

I wouldn't doubt that the missiles are in his fucking garage. The man is a certified lunatic.

Hillary will win, if we have an election in '08, because forclosured Americans believe Bill will run things, and get a good economy going. Unlike Prez Cheney and the shit economy we have today. I spoke with a customer today and I moaned about my bad sales in the recent furniture road show I did at Costco in Alabama. She said, "Bud, nobody is buying anything anywhere. Folks are hanging on to what little money they have comin' in!"

I see pants-pissing peter (and his other personality "jj") are busy beating off while dreaming about war with Iran. Just another neo-con psychopath.
