Yeah yeah yeah, but did you hear the story about Larry's Super Tuber, the recipe submitted some years ago by Sen. Larry Craig? Bwah-ha-ha!

Yeah yeah yeah...

Here's an idea. Why don't you email that link the Ciara Durkin's family and see how funny they think it is.

Hey, their daughter's dead but you made a funny about ass fucking!

Beat me to it, snark... sheesh, at least put that stuff in the open thread, since petey seems to be ever so interested in it and is waiting for someone to come play. Yawn.

Anyhow, from the articles I could find on Ciara, (there weren't many), it appears there was a will that the Army won't let the family have. And the family isn't able to get the Army's autopsy report. What's up? Also, if she was concerned about the enemies she made, I wonder if she put aside some kind of letter or info about them and what she found, just in case this happened. And wouldn't someone have heard a gunshot in the middle of a "secured" base? Too many questions...

Murder is standard operating procedure for the Bush crime family. Perhaps she stumbled upon some under the table opium/heroin moneys being shuffled into the black budget.

Wow, her family needs to be screaming to the media. Get the story out there. Get the MSM talking about it. Or maybe they've tried and no one is listening.

I was deployed with the army reserves in 2001. There were widespread scams going on with company level soldiers then. Most of the scams had to do with Basic Allowance for Housing, BAH. BAH is designed to help Reserve and National Guard units pay for off-post housing while deployed. For instance, we had a married couple in our unit that "double-dipped" into the housing pay. There were also several soldiers still living at home with parents, rent free, that illegally claimed BAH pay.

There was also a widespread scam going on with combat pay. It worked like this: If you enter a combat zone at any point during a month, no matter how long, you are eligible for that month's full combat pay. Thus, each of us rotated through on convoys entering combat zones at least once a month (even though most of us had no need to be there).

Soldiers will always find ways to squeeze as much as possible taxpayers. There must be hundreds of these types of scams.

I can't help but wonder if similar stuff was going on in Afghanistan....

CG, sheesh, Britney Spears is much more important than Ciara Durkin.

M-O-N-E-Y!
The poor ol' military is scared of being cut off from the tit, because of their hookin' it with bushco.

Nothing could get more evil about this "defensive war" and these warmongers. We are the 21st c. nazis.

Clara and Pat Tillman are sipping iced tea together in some hereafter place, marveling at the unending madness of humans.

Sorry to hear about any deaths anywhere. First of all military carry loaded weapons at Bagram. All deaths will be investigated and that takes time. A self inflicted gunshot will most likley be the cause of her death. During D-day there was 8 suicides go figure

The MSM is covering it. Foxnews is on the job this afternoon.

This is the first that I've heard about this soldier, but since she seemed to be vocal about being gay....perhaps she turned downed an admirer. I'm surprised that she suuposedly sit aside a letter about some stuff, but didn't send a letter to her parents about it. I don't believe it is a hate crime though.

I first heard this story on NPR. They didn't mention anything about her concern to her family, that she had uncovered something that was dangerours, or that she feared for her life. Their whole spin was how difficult it is for the Army to keep their story straight, because the PR people have to go off to fight in Afghanistan, and don't stay around long enough to know what they were doing. Also, she was a lesbian.

Total cover-up.
They're probably in cahoots, as well
