Comments: Larry Craig: Mitt Threw Me Under The Bus!

I like this new Larry Craig. I have little doubt his very name causes many clutched sphincters (sorry, no double entendre intended) among his esteemed repuke congressional colleagues. And he knows it. Dude's in the catbird seat. Er, stall.

Really, his anger is interesting. He seems to be viscerally fighting the same institutional hypocrisy he's part of – as if his mind still hasn't caught up with his gut.

Come to the light, Larry, be the courageous, history-making gay man you should be. My Rx for the moment, some long lunches with Barney. (Not Chimpy's dog, the other one.)

Is Romney's outrage real? Or is it just jealousy? Sounds like a lover's quarrel to me. Oh, you do have to love the Republican party! The fun never ends.

This guy just won't go down, a la T1000 in Terminator 2. He just keeps on coming back for more embarrassment! But this indecision doesn't just relate to his political or legal wranglings. No, he has just as many problems ordering a McChicken...

I guess if the ERA had passed and we had developed unisex bathrooms as feared, this event might have been avoided.

A big question here is why all the GOP outrage over Craig's actions while Senator David Vitter was literally cheered when he returned to the Capitol after being caught receiving "services" from several D.C. (female) hookers?

I think this question has been answered by smarter people than me: check the party affiliation of the governors who would appoint the senators' replacements.

(HINT: Vitter-Gov. Blanco (D-LA), Craig-Gov. Otter (R-ID))

That said, there's probably some diversion of attention from themselves going on as well. Where Republican'ts are involved, one is poorly served by attributing only a single bad motive when several are available.

Funny thing. My office has a unisex bathroom even though ERA wasn't ratified!
