Comments: More from the Straw Poll

I got back from the straw poll a while ago.
Lots of vocal Kucinich supporters. He was there -and he was a powerful speaker.)I'm for Edwards, but everyone seemed to cheer Kucinich, regardless of who was their favorite.
Lots of young Obama supporters - vocal - but turns out not enough for him to climb above third place.
Edwards support was older and perhaps more organized. A bunch of supporters marched down the center aisle while his rep was speaking. I talked to many of them and they seemed very committed.
Most interestingly, tho Clinton seemed to have a good number of supporters, there was very little (if any) vocal support when her rep spoke on her behalf. A 40'ish hippie type started yelling out (when the rep was talking about how women should vote for Hillary), "Stop the war!" Others followed his lead. No one, that I could tell, really cheered for Clinton. Quiet. While a good number of people, support seemed tepid.
That's my take, for what it's worth.

Women should vote for Hillary? So men should vote for.....a man?

Like I say, the comments made by Clinton's rep were not going over very well. Kind of insulting - and, at the same time, pandering - to women. And, of course, failing to address the WAR!

"Women should vote for Hillary? So men should vote for.....a man?" (Sharon)

That would be divisive.

Can't we all just get along and vote for the hermaphrodite candidate?

Thanks for adding your perspective, mjames. I also thought that it was pretty quiet when Hillary's representative, Jackie Speier, was talking.

I found it interesting that Kucinich won in most of the counties, but did not win San Mateo. He certainly had a good following at the meet.
