You the construction industry is very chummy. I bet if you follow the money trail far enough, you'll find bin Laden's construction companies tied to the embassy contracts.

The Bin Laden construction operations are legit. In fact, I'd bet if they were doing it the thing would probably be done on time and under budget.

snark are you telling us the Bin Laden companies would not have to pay bribes to the Iraqi's or do they include the bribes in their budget. How do you know the Bin Laden companies are legit?

The implication of gtash's comment was that the Bin Laden contruction companies being involved in the work on our embassy would somehow be scandalous in and of itself simply because of the fact that it's the Bin Laden family. In case you missed it, Osama Bin Laden has been completely disowned by his family. They have nothing to do with him. They run a very successful construction conglomerate in the region. That its what I mean by legit.

As far as bribes go one needn't look any farther than the rebuilding of the WTC complex in NYC to find bribes in the construction industry I'd venture. It doesn't only happen in the Middle East.
