How pointedly have the residents of Simpleton been ignoring al Baradei's recent media appearances deflating the growing Bomb-Iran shrieking?
You'd think the rose petals and sweets we were promised in Iraq were sneaked over the border and hidden in Iran. (I can't wait for that to turn up as a moved goalpost.)
No budget for the War on Whatever to expand to Iran, no troops for it, just the predictable US-Israel permawar duet screaming for more military action in the Middle East.

Posted by TIKI AL at October 30, 2007 05:37 AMHey, Steve's grrl Hillary's leading the charge on this. I half expect her to begin the bombing if elected and if Dubya hasn't done it himself. Any chance Left Coaster will reconsider its endorsement of Hillary?
Posted by Brian Bell at October 30, 2007 05:43 AMEdwards gave a major speech yesterday declaring our DC-lobbyist "system" of government of, by and for corporate America corrupt and broken. Pretty good stuff.
The Fed is set to continue its rate cutting policy to keep Wall Street afloat for some time longer--probabably through the Bush regime. Should the Dems win, Bernanke will immediately pull the plug and leave the new president holding the reeking bag of shit. The final spasms of a doomed nation---On to Teheran!
Posted by euzoius at October 30, 2007 06:54 AMRaw Story is reporting that 52% of American favor bombing.
"Just 29 percent of Americans think the US should not attack Iran, with one in five people unsure about military action. Of those who would support a strike, 28 percent believe military action should wait until the next president is in office, while 23 percent want to see Bush let lose US missiles against Iran."
One gets the democracy one deserves, I guess.

Posted by Gay Veteran at October 30, 2007 11:24 AMGV - not suprised. Just sick of the mindless fearmongering and manufactured consent.
Posted by Jim Faith at October 30, 2007 11:40 AMMary,
Paul Pillar's insights were very instructive. Thanks.
Zogby may use Fox phone numbers in their poll.
52% sounds high to me.
