by all accounts, Hughes was, shall we say, not a particularly congenial person. Her claim to fame is blind obedience to George W. Bush and his "My way or else" operation. When she reappeared in the Bush second term as an ambassador of good will to the Islamic world, the ultimate result was not hard to imagine. Failure. No human, now or ever, could put a smiley face on the disaster Bush has made of Mid-East relations. Being Halloween, Hughes will likely fly back to TX on a broomstick.
